Woke up feeling like I'd just run a marathon & fell down several flights of stairs. This happens once in a while & I have no idea why, was fine when I went to bed last night. Therefore today's plans are to do bugger all (except the aforementioned pasty production).

Decided to skip afternoon service and take the time to walk the dog instead. So we managed to do two parks as she did not want to get out of the car when we got home after walk one. So gave her water in the car and carried on to another park where we did a longer gentle stroll. My knee is a bit sore now, but I can cope with that as the dog is much happier now and her anxiety is definitely lower. Morning service and APCM (AGM for churches).

14k steps and 60 'floors' walking around one of the nicest bits of the planet. Popped into a village hall art exhibition for tea and cake, bought a nice giclée print of a crab :D

Strolled on up the hill to a 'healing sanctuary*' for their open garden event...bluebell woods, meditation glade, perfect views of this green and pleasant land** etc etc, more tea and cake available, then on to the Albury sports ground to watch the juniors play cricket, more tea and cake available but had a sandwich. :D

All in all, just a perfect day.

* more like a stately home...there's money in healing!

** including over an area that was recently cover in luxe trailers and all the Hollywood malarkey for a big film. Apparently, the goss is that they're making Gladiator 2 and it's doubling for Italy or somewhere like that. They did a similar thing somewhere else nearby for the early scenes in Gladiator 1 I think.

Created pasties. It's evident I'm a bit out of practice & won't be entering any competitions... had enough filling left over for at least three more than I had pastry for.

May claim this was a practice run.

Results in about 30 minutes..

90-odd miles on the lanes on the trusty old orange bike- was a great day, but am feeling my age tonight- knackered!
( but the good sort of knackered :) )

Started tidying and organising the ISO container now the builders have mostly finished at spawn's house. It'll be my defacto shed when I'm there.

Holy crap, still got it. Needed a bit more salt though & maybe a bit less pepper. Half-assed crimp thanks to my recent hand/wrist surgery.

Mowed the lawns and edged the paths/drive and a bit of weeding. Gave up on the block paving.

I'm fucked. Totally fucked. I seriously need to get a bit more exercise.

I started on a 660ml bottle of San Miguel (Holiday Beer), they're three for a fiver in Tescos.

500ml cans are about 1.20 here

I discovered different strengths.

Bottles are 5%
Cans 5.4%

Back here in blighty most San Miguel you buy in supermarkets is actually made by Carlsberg in Northampton and is 5%, the imported stuff you occasionally get in B&M or Lidil, etc.. is the proper 5.4% stuff.

Today I have spent much time learning that metric plumbing is measured by the outside diameter and imperial is measures by the inside diameter.
So where flow rates are important people tend to use imperial for consistancy, and there was me thinking it was just because most of it was made in the States.
This makes aquarium plumbing a right PITA.

Edit:I probably still don't have that right.

Excellent news, did you have Moviprep? Not a pleasant thing, and people pay money for the same thing!!
