Caught the PERFECT *Tesla Swerve* on the bike cam this morning. Was making good progress coming up behind it in the #1 lane, moved over to pass it & just as I passed the right quarter panel the car suddenly swerved to the left & damn near hit the concrete divider. Bet that woke up the dozy fucker.
Hopefully I can edit the vid to just a few seconds.

Bugger. Owing to the bike going right as the Tesla swerved left the camera didn't get the violence of the move.

Returned home after a great couple of days on Mersea Island. My daughter and her oithger half came to see us on Saturdya but one her dogs kicked off and wouldn't stop barking. In the end they went home, but asked if they could come back the next day without the dogs, which of course we said yes to. NIce long beach walk with our dogs in the morning then me them in the Clubhouse after. Managed to find a do g friendly pub that could do us a sunday roast, so We too them for dinner. Twas a really lovely day, even if the dinner wasn't the best.

At BMW getting the bikes annual service done. Had a wee nose at the new Gen 5 if that’s what they are calling it.

The only thing I like is the new changes that they’ve made to the dash which I’m hoping they will make available as a software update on the Gen 4 bikes, other than that I wouldn’t change.

Note the steering angle sensor which is a potentiometer. This with the new electronic controls will allow you to back it in and allows you to slide it on corner exit, very fancy. Not for me though, even the reviews where top notch ex racers have tested the bike have said it’s a bit overkill and even for them they couldn’t really exploit it.

Finished a night, nice ride home on emptyish roads before the mayday madness, loving the AR exhaust, especially at flashing orange tacho in 6th. I’ve now got 7 days off, slept a bit and just pottering around the house waking up.

It's going to be a muddy two hours

Discovered that when you leave your petrol mower lent up in the garden store about 50 degrees off flat, next time you try to start it half the oil will shoot out the exhaust and you'll be mowing the garden in a blue haze for a short while.

1hr 45 mins in the end - slippy on the way up - but it appears the deluge was merely local, and Worthing was relatively un-slippery (other than the chalk)

Looked at my cars visual health report and found it needs wiper blades. AT least Land Rover's price includes fitting! :wtf:

Pah, that's cheap. The wipers for my SL are over £100 even aftermarket, I hate to think how much they are from MB!

My car was 3 years old when I bought it and the OEM wipers were all falling to bits (great inspection JLR!), I replaced them with whatever I got cheapest in Halfords and five years later they are still fine.
I wouldn't choose JLR OEM wipers even if they were the same price.

Don't get much choice with the MB ones, they have the spray jets built into them and they're heated, MB only fitment!

Discovered my phone decided some time last week to inform me about missed called & voicemails. 7 of the 8 VM's were about tomorrows surgery & the other was the Kaw shop telling me my parts arrived.

Met some friends for the actual final coffee of winter this morning!

Then another mate drove me to Grenoble to see the anaesthetist for the leg op. Went in pretty nervous because I REALLY want a general anaesthetic and the surgeon said he normally does the op under a local (or spinal) - the thought of a local scares the bits outta me that it might not work and I might hear or feel any of the op!! Luckily, as we started talking about it I got quite stressed and she immediately said "it's fine, we'll do a general" !!!

Also got the notes of the op to put the plate into my leg scanned by the hospital and sent to the surgeon - so that he can make sure he has the right screwdriver to get the screws out! And sorted out getting there by taxi (sort of, I've sorted out that I can get a taxi, so that's good!). Just got to call up on the morning of the 25th to find out what time I have to arrive!! :D :D :D

Thought I was meeting the last few of the brits here at the last open bar this evening, but they all seem to have bailed!! :( :( So, an early night!!
