First little runout of the season. Tax up to ยฃ84, RBs...
Plenty of breeze about but dry, just. One stretch of road between Nantwich and Audlem had more potholes than flat bits. , riding in the dark is definitely a no no.

Sat outside my local now, the Tiddly and reasonably pleasant. A nice roll washed down with a Veltins lager, lovely. ๐Ÿป

Life in the slow lane can be very pleasant indeed. ๐Ÿ‘

I'm not sure if it's an enfield thing or just a slow bike thing, but kind of reminds me of my very early bike days of 16/17. Life is nice at 55 mph sometimes. ๐Ÿ‘

There's something to be said for a simple aircooled 4 stroke single,If I didn't already have my ancient XT600 I would have bought a Himalayan.

I keep looking at the older Himalayans, they're getting down to the ยฃ2.5k mark for an early one. I'd rag it about off road... except I wouldn't. Cos I have trouble finding the time to ride the 500 Bullet, GS and Pink GSXR11, never mind a fourth bike.

I have to make an effort to roll a motorbike out of the garage, its easier to get the ebike out of the shed and equally good fun, atm. Ebikes still a bit of a novelty mind. Reckon you need a bit of everything. ๐Ÿ‘

Yes it's pothole city out there. Come across one on the Radwinter Road that was almost the size of the wheel base of the GSXS, round too so covered most of the road. Another on a main road was long/thin but about 6-8 inches deep. Might not effect a car but on a bike it'd easily swallow a wheel. The roads are truly crap.

Looks like a good ride though

It's also the edges of the road that are breaking up around here. Water sits on the edges, no drains or runoff , then those big arse tractor and trailers drive through these, breaking the road edge into bits, then PHs hidden by water. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

It's a proper shit show for sure.

Nice 120 miles today, about 40 too many i reckon. Achey shoulder blades, must be an Enfield thing. Out to Bala through the Tanat Valley then after tea and shortbread, up the mountain towards Dinas Mawddwy then left-hander for Lake Vyrnwy. Cafe and a bird hide. Think we have a Siskin, Sparrow, Chaffinch and a tree rat.
Good day had. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

You need an illegal black/silver numberplate. I had one on for ages, I kept swapping the original back for the MOT and it got a bit bent out of shape, so mines on a yellow one at the moment, I should really order another metal black one.

Those pesky welch pod would probably do me. Strapped a bigger bag on today, it's just bloody useful having a decent size bag. Waterproof topcoat was on and off, emergency water and apple ration also.

Talking to a chap, he was on an old 750 honda F1, my brother had his K7 nicked soon after buying new. ๐Ÿ‘Ž anyway this chap has bought one of those big Harley adventure bike, Pan summot, reckons it's brilliant, Harleys answer to the GS he said. Got that funny headlight.

Bloke at my place has one. He replaced his 1250 GS with it. Absolutely loves it!

Well...the 500 trials has had it's last bimble. ๐Ÿ˜ข it's been a fantastic little bike for the B roads but time for a change. The replacement will be a bit bigger and a bit redder, however, will be on similar duties. ๐Ÿค”
