I looked at the wheels on the x-adv and there is no way my almax is going though them.

I get what your saying about the DCT vs CVT, I grew up on scooters and love them. If they made a Gilera runner 400/500 id get one πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Like i said I need to ride a TMax, just to see what’s it’s like.
Look wise I prefer the Forza. But let’s see.

If I had lots of cash and time I’d go something cheaper to commute and some thing fun. For the weekends.

now I need/want to test ride a Tmax, either 530 or the newer 560. and see how that compares, I even toyed with the Tmax 400 as the less I spend on a commuter the more chance I have of getting a 2nd "fun bike"
I don't think they did a tmax 400, there is an Xmax 400 but from what I read is slightly faster than the xmax 300 but is heavier so a bit more lethargic handling wise. Which is why I went for the 300.

Have you run in Your 300 yet???
Did you test ride the adv 350 ?

No, I've still got 200 miles to go before it's fully run in, the weather here in Wales is really not helping on that front. I have 'made progress' on it once or twice, not fully throttle open, and I reckon it's quicker than my old c400gt. It certainly seems to handle better as well.
I only sat on the adv 350, didn't get to test ride one, none available at the time. I think if i'd test ridden one, I may well have bought one. But I'm in no way unhappy with my xmax 300.

Deffo try the Tmax then. If i'd have been comfy on mine, i'd probably still have it...

Is there much difference between the 530 and 560?

I doubt anything noticeable in the real world tbh.

Taking a Yamaha TMax 530 out tomorrow afternoon.

Hopefully this will help make up my mind what way I want to go.

So, I took a T-Max 530 out today.

Bad first.

It’s big and ugly, the Forza 750 just looks sharper.
It’s a scooter.

Good.

It was fun to ride around Fulham, I only had 25mins on it but it was fun and easy to ride around town, I could see it being the perfect commuter bike. Mirrors fold in and does not seem wider than the MT (I need to check that)

Seems quick enough for what it is, I seemed to fit it well and I genuinely feel like getting it over the Forza, the CVT is nicer compared to the DCT. Plus I am guessing the screen and fairing with be great for the A3 night time winter trips for keeping me as slightly warmer.

Now above when I said β€œbad” that it’s a scooter, because I can really see my self chopping in the MT07 for one, that means not actually having a motorcycle, but I’ve done it before.

Now I need to find a decent T-max that does not cost the earth
