Dean Harrison must be getting heartily fed up with 3rd place...

Re: IOM TT
Just finished watching the Supersport race, what a performance from Michael on that last lap, he was controlling the race perfectly and pulled the pin when he seen the gap closing slightly. Incredible.
I’m expecting Hicky to more than likely win the Superstock race but the Senior will hopefully be a great battle with the 135.4 mph lap getting beat.
He’s on 25 wins now and he’ll definitely win the Twins with no issues so we should at least get even with his Uncle Joey on 26 wins.
I’m hoping it is closer during the Superstock race, you can never count him out.

Re: IOM TT
Does this week put MD alongside the GREATS of the TT then ? The fact he's come back from not winning to winning ? The fact he's done it on different bikes more than a few times ?

I’d say so, I reckon he’s the best road racer at the moment, when everything is working well and he’s game for it he’s unstoppable.weeksy wrote: Thu Jun 08, 2023 7:01 am Does this week put MD alongside the GREATS of the TT then ? Re: IOM TT
Afaiac, he's been one of the greats for a few years, but he's upped it this year for sure. Saturdays senior should be ace and the stockers need to go back to 4 laps. 600s do 4.

Re: IOM TT
I think they’ve changed it to 3 laps because you now get 2 x Superstock races whereas it’s always been just the one race.

Re: IOM TT
You may be right Wull, but 4 could easily be done. I've enjoyed the supertwins and sidecars aswel this year, nice to see the Birchells get some competition. Molyneux used to be the man but he's been off for a while now. They reckon he's an horrible fcuker anyway.

Re: IOM TT
I am another one who thinks he has been among the TT greats for a few years now. His wins have come at a far younger age and over a shorter period of time than McGuinness and Uncle Joey for example. He has also done it at a time of peak competition when there are several contenders to win in each class rather than 2 or 3 on factory bikesweeksy wrote: Thu Jun 08, 2023 7:01 am Does this week put MD alongside the GREATS of the TT then ? I hope he gets to 27 this week but will be a challenge to get any interviews with him afterwards

Re: IOM TT
Absolutely astounding lap. What a rider that guy is. Almost a whole second faster than the previous record, and on a Superstock bike. What could he do if his team get his superbike sorted out?

Re: IOM TT
Grace keeps saying 136.6 but the commentators had said 136.3 so not sure which one it is, she’s made that mistake a few times this week so probably the 136.3

Brilliant stuff...I do reckon the bm stocker is as quick as anything around here. We'll see tomorrow.

It's getting to the stage where the bikes are too powerful and something a bit less vicious will be quickerDodgy69 wrote: Fri Jun 09, 2023 1:57 pm Brilliant stuff...I do reckon the bm stocker is as quick as anything around here. We'll see tomorrow.![]()

Re: IOM TT

Well Senior day is upon us. What to expect?
What I want to know which I’m sure everyone else is as well is what bike will Hicky use today? Superbike or Superstock bike?
I’d like to see MD win it and for it to be outstanding and for the new outright lap record to get beat, the race record is 135.4 which will go but can the new 136.3 get smashed today, I think it can.
Here’s to some cracking racing with everyone getting to the finish.

Re: IOM TT
The Senior was an anticlimax for me, was hoping for closer racing but it is what it is. MD had handling issues from the get go and just couldn’t get into it. Hicky obviously just managed the last lap and didn’t have to go any faster, I’m certain if someone was up his chuff he’d have bettered the 136.3 mph lap.
Will have to wait now until next year see if MD can equal uncle Joey and surpass the 26 wins which I think he will.
