Deep condolences Yambo, safe travels back to the UK. Pack warm, it is miserable weather here, especially as you've enjoyed the warmth of SA so recently. I trust you will find peace in good memories and the comfort of family and friends. Grace and peace to you and yours.

I've walked the dog. Trying to assist someone with recovering a lost dissertation on their MAC that died before they could save a copy. About to visit a parishioner to fix her webcam issues. Just rebuilt a Surface Pro and upgraded a laptop with an SSD drive. No, I am not an IT Manager, but a Priest! Ah, ministry takes all different forms and shapes.

Recovering from a very intense funeral yesterday afternoon as well, and in the middle of trying to write my assignments, two sermons and looking after my daughter who did not have the strength to go to university today. Life is full of change and chances. Be safe, take time to tell your family you love them, hold your friends close and be graceful to those who hurt.

Sometimes you do wonder how people think.
They've got the skills to do a dissertation.
But not the general life skills and common sense to back it up.

Got two puppies here who are determined to get bit by my Jack Russell. They keep pestering her and trying to nip her despite my telling them off. I was just thinking it wont end well for you and it just didn't. :D 2 pups are quaking in the basket now. They won't learn from it though...

I think i'd rather have two 2 year old kids to look after than 2 pups. Jeez they're hard work!

Sat in a Tesco car park for a couple of hours watching humanity attempting to park.
I really think there is mileage in a TV show with this.

One of the joys of driving a small car is parking right at the back of a space in a busy car park so the space appears empty from a far.

Doesn't matter what is going on in life, this view (and the variations of it) make me feel ok with whatever the universe has planned. I do wish that it would put its bat and bricks down and leave my friends and me a bit of respite sometimes. But, I get to the office on a day of remembering and open the curtains and this is the view -

All might not be 'right' with the world, but the view goes some way to making me feel better

Got a quote from the roofer: $960. Not worth claiming on the insurance.

Keeping an eye on the weather for a weekend as I have free tickets to go see Which One's Pink? on Saturday night at a bar about 75 miles away. Faultless Pink Floyd tribute band & have the advantage over the real thing by having a bass player who can actually sing, unlike that miserable fucker Waters who couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.
However, it's supposed to absolutely piss down Saturday...
Fairly decent venue, saw a Tom Petty tribute band there a couple of weeks back & they had a Stevie Nicks gal with them so they did a couple of Fleetwood Mac numbers.
Handy having mate who gives out free tickets like candy. Might well hit him up for tickets to the Gilmour Project next month.

Was sorely tempted by a '92 ZX11 C model, but have resisted buying it so far ....

I can't begin to imagine how that must feel, I'm sorry if I've missed some details you may have mentioned but what happened?
Also I might have the wrong end of the stick here but it's not Trumps is it? I'm under the impression that you're his father?

I'm genuinely sorry for you're loss, take care.

It was yesterday but I saw my old petrol lawnmower sitting at the side of the shed. I never used it last year at all as I bought a Gtech battery one. I knew i'd need the power of the petrol one to try and cut the damp lawn and wondered if I could get it going. Fuel tank was empty, presumed evaporated. Put fresh juice in and pumped the starter bulb, pulled the cord and it fired straight up! I now have a cut rear lawn!

Raining today, so not much going on. Just watched Saturday kitchen, it was a very woke episode!
