Is it because we don't make aircraft as cool as the Vampire or the Mosquito anymore?

Slow Horses on Apple TV. Series 3 has just started. It's utterly brilliant. Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb is the best secret agent in the world.

Dial of Destiny landed on UK Disney+ today.
I wanted to like it.
I enjoyed the opening act with a de-aged Indy, but after that it just failed to keep my attention. I'd rate Kingdom of the Crystal Skull higher and that's far from the best in the series.

I saw
Baby Driver was available on Netflix yesterday so I gave that a watch.
I chose it purely based on the writer/director, Edgar Wright. He did/co-did
Shaun of the Dead, Spaced, Hot Fuzz and
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
Baby Driver was his first solo effort I think.
I liked it

7.8/10. Classic snappy directing from Wright, who has a very particular style. Top sound track and some unexpected performances from the supporting case.

Just watched it, expected it to be dire, but it makes a decent enough Sunday afternoon flick, rate higher than Crystal Skulls, but hope to buggery they call it quits now.

I suspect I enjoyed it more than Elon Musk did!

Started watching Series 2 of 'The Tourist' on the Beeb. Enjoyed Series 1. 2 episodes in, it's a bit 'Twin Peaks' in some ways but it's getting motoring. Probably helps if you've seen Series 1.
Anyone drawn in by the hype around 'Traitors'? Never saw the first series. Saw one ep of Series 2*...irritating people who might as well be actors, working to a very tight script. Funny how 'reality TV' seems just like 'TV drama'.
* I didn't put it on.

Ridiculous and implausible of course, but I liked it and not just for Sheridan's assets.

Disney “The Shepherd” bloody brilliant adaptation of the short story, I’m in bit’s watching it.
I got a bit emosh watching that too. My Dad flew Vampires and (I think) it was the first "grown up" book that he gave me to read - so it brought back a lot of memories (of when I read it as a teenager, mostly).

Just finished that the other day. Lumley was good, the rest was so so. I'm not really a fan of the Coben story-telling style.
I want to watch "Monsier Spade", but no idea when it'll arrive in the UK. (if we even get it at all)

Finished watching it last night. Like all the Coben stuff but thought that was let down by a lame ending...

Finished Series 2 of 'The Tourist' on iPlayer. Excellent. Funny, dark etc, set in Oirland (1st was in Oz) with crim families, dodgy Garda etc etc. Worth watching Series 1 first though.

Yesterday I randomly watched the first episode of a series from 2012 I'd never heard of. I don't think it was shown in the UK. Just a random pick on Disney Plus. I ended up binge watching the whole first series in one sitting.
Don't tell anyone, but I really enjoyed it and I've now got a bit of a crush on Krysten Ritter.
Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23.

Uncle Frank. We love a road trip film so bunged it on. Turned out to be about a guy how hid his homosexuality from his southern family, but eventually it comes out. Poignant yet funny with a good effort from the cast. Lead was Paul Bettany who i thought was Lawrence Fox. Anyone ever seen them in a room together at the same time?

Watching the
Gladiators remake on BBC iPlayer. The original was required tea time viewing when I was a kid, along with
Big Break and
The Crystal Maze.
Remake is as cheesy as the old one.

. Gladiators are nicer though. And Wolf isn't in it
