That's for a few reasons. If I want to sit/lie on the pool bottom I have to expel the air in my lungs first otherwise I'm too buoyant, yet she doesn't and doesn't appear to be using weights. Also for max underwater time I have to 'bubble out' slowly and constantly (something to do with CO2 build up iirc) but she hardly bubbles at all until the end.

I reckon she's got gills.

IIRC below a certain depth the pressurekind of compresses the air in the lungs so reducing boyancy but I thought its a possibility her shift might have lead shot in its seams? Not much else that I can think of.

Freedivers really are a different species. Their ability to hold oxygen in the blood must be of interest to athletes given their interest in high altitude training (and blood doping ).

I can do 25m underwater breaststoke without fins and I'm done. More with fins and just legs but the leg muscles still burn through the oxygen. Being underwater is but I could never be bothered with the faff of scuba. Masks, tanks, breathing through a tube - I don't even like snorkeling! (But I've done some). I'm hoping for a Buddhist resurrection as a free diver*. (Not to challenge depth records or owt, just to get down there with the wildlife without going phhhhssstbubblephhhshht etc).

* Or a dolphin in an area where they don't eat 'em.

We used to have a 33 metre pool in sunny Carlisle and with a bit of hyperventilating (and I'm not sure if thats a recommended technique or not) I could do a full length underwater.
I'm not a very efficient swimmer but when I remove the need to stay on the surface to breath seemingly my efficiency goes up

Having as I do, a 6 year old daughter, in recent years I've seen many many Disney films.

It still amazes me that the 'old' stuff (pre 2000 really) is almost entirely hand drawn. Of course anything pre 80s ish is 100% hand drawn. When you watch them and see how much is going on on screen its amazing to think everything in shot is pencils and paints. Doubly impressive when you watch the shots with tracking and matched up parallax and stuff.

A man crashed his car outside a Bass Pro Shop in Alabama, stripped down to his birthday suit and plunged into the giant aquarium inside the store, police said.

The ordeal happened Thursday night in front of shocked shoppers in the town just outside Birmingham, Leeds Police Chief Paul Irwin said.

The 42-year-old Alabama man did a "cannonball" leap into the aquarium and then stood under a waterfall. He left the water to yell at two officers, then dove back into the aquarium, police said.

The man eventually climbed over the side of the aquarium and fell to the concrete floor below. Police then apprehended him, the news site Al.com reported.

He faces several charges including public lewdness, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

The man was in the water for about five minutes before officers arrived, Irwin said.
