I guess its more what I haven't done lol. I was going to go out and view a bike and hopefully p/x my MT-09 against it. Turns out they are shut at the weekends?

Dont buy Chiense shite mate!

Bought some stuff in the Cotswold Outdoor shop. New boots, new day pack, some Smartwool socks. Came to pay and wafted my National Trust card in their direction. Whoosh! £41 off. Which was nice.

Dump trick , shopping for Sunday roast, dog walk with all 3 hounds, old hound insisted on coming so it was VERY slow, much stop and sniff. Twit hound rolled in something smelly which is now ingrained into his collar clasp........nice! Guess who is cleaning that out.

Two days ago I was down to have the morning off (go skiing!!) then drive, then driver tomorrow.

All change and I was in the office today for the first office Saturday since before Christmas!! Was kinda nice. Annoying to be reminded of just how little my colleague actually does (more obvious when sat next to her!) but it was nice to catch up and speak some french Boss had a go at me about something - not deserved but he's seriously tired and seriously stressed. So that's a conversation for next week when he's had some sleep!!

Also turns out I have to drive tomorrow That'll be a 12 hour day. By the end of Tuesday I'll have done almost an extra weeks hours this month. Good for the bank balance, but not exactly what I'd signed up for!! Another conversation to have with the boss!!

Chilling now ready to go driving tomorrow!!

Meh. We're surrounded by NT places and they've started charging for some of the car parks for yompin' that we use on NT land ie where there isn't a house to visit. Bit of a no brainer really. Couple of trips to Cotswold Outdoor, couple of trips to a stately pile when we have visitors and a few car park fees and it's paid for itself.

The sticker on the amp says 1988 and the speakers say 1984 vintage, I remember my mum buying it new in the late 80's. It was very space age at the time, with it's touch sensitive panels.

Well, they used to be....

Went out for the first ride of the year. Brrr, it was a bit chilly!

Went to Tea Hut in Epping - caught up with a friend then came home.
Bit nippy.

Church after dropping wife off to walk the hound. Spoke with and supported a parishioner who has found out they may have lost their job tomorrow, redundancies sweeping her industry sector (Metro/Evening Standard Newspaper). Then sorted IT for the service, building a PC with new SSD drive, i7 with 16GB DDR4 RAM, so fairly speedy. Went to visit someone after the service, got them home yesterday after their hip operation last Monday. He is moving okay and able to get up and down the stairs. Glad to see he is much more relaxed back at home again.

Lunch at home, quick bite to eat and working on assignment that is due in 8 days. Only 1200 words to write and I'm happy with the shape and structure of the work. Nice change to not be stressing about it!

Going to be heading out in 15 minutes for the next service and then staying out until around 8.30pm or so with evening Holy Communion etc..

A fruitful day and managed to help some people with vitals things, so happy!

Drove to Geneva this morning with passengers, no collection so drover back empty. Had a short break and went to pick up the next lot to go to Geneva, only they weren't there. So, 7 hour day instead of 12

Just chilling now, well I was until the wifi decided to 'throw' the programme from the ipad to the tv in short chunks instead of the whole programme smoothly Sometimes I do hate technology!! LOL


I did have a moment today. Going along a slip road onto to join a motorway in Switzerland, another minibus behind me that really really wanted to be ahead (always fun to be tailgated by a loony when in a work vehicle!). As we got to about halfway along, he pulled out to the motorway, no worries, figured he'd either pull to the outside lane or keep back to let me through. Nope. As I ran out of slip road, the fukker just kept driving, blocking my exit to the motorway and oblivious to the fact that I was gonna run out of road
I was NOT impressed. But, I did watch him set off a speed camera back in France! Shame he didn't do it in Switzerland really!


Not that I can be smug - I set one off this morning (I think it was me and not the guy going the other way!). Seriously annoying as I know the damn camera is there, but it's on a road that is long and straight (ish) no particular dangers and was changed from 90kph to 80kph back along. And 80kph really does just feel so damn slowwwwww. Hey ho - maybe the powers that be will actually process my request for a french driving licence is they want to put a point on it!! LOL

A couple of hundred miles -cold and damp ones. I am not bike fit and I can hardly lift my legs. Had a nice pub lunch at The Sun Inn, Dunsfold and a very good day all round. I think all pub menus should come with reading glasses - one guy got his out and half the table kept borrowing them.
