I've never really considered leather a great choice for luxury seating it any context....too slidey!

I quite like the Alcantara. I'm not sure suede would be a good seating choice

If you're sliding around in a seat, you're probably on a bus.

IIRC the Japanese use wool for their high end high end cars. Leather being considered too noisy.
