That is the absolute worst possible news. I can't believe it. I saw him in June and he was in fine fettle, looked well and healthy, in fact he looked far healthier than Johnny Depp, who was sharing the stage with him. He was absolutely THE guitarist as far as I was concerned, constantly inventive and always trying something different. This is a bombshell out of a clear blue sky.

Well,that hasn't made my day. He was a musician who never rested on his laurels ,nor ever became a parody of himself. Always creative and always original.
