Found out my scoot does 62 MPG. For some reason I thought it was going to be in the mid 40s?

It's a shame if he has. Sure, the conspiracy theory/tinfoil hat stuff was a bit wearing but he's quite amusing at times, quite informative at times and posted stuff about bikes sometimes.

Yeah, that's fair.
I think I was still a bit tired when I posted this morning.

My favourite breakfast, minus the chocolate powder but with a few mixed nuts thrown in.

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
On a similar note, my daughter went down to apply to the school she wants to do her 6th form studying at. She met her friend who was also applying. She'd just been turned down as her maths grade was a 4, with her needing a 5 minimum. Now I'm a hard-nosed bastard, but given the kid had spent 6 months last year in a foreign hospital, having been in a near-fatal car crash, I can't help but think the school was being a touch harsh.
Anyhow, they've had a re-think after a call from both parents and the previous head of year and....she's in!!
Go Izzy!

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
He posted the same thing without adding any content, context or debate time and time again.
He was told to stop multiple times..
He didn't listen so got a 24 hour ban....
He's grumpy about the ban and called us names... then flounced off.
I don't ask much on the forum and didn't think i was asking a lot.

Email this morning
Good Morning,
With regard to your application for excusal from jury service, having careful consideration to the circumstances, I have decided to excuse you from jury service on this occasion.
In future should you require any further excusals on medical grounds you must provide a letter from your doctor to verify this and the letter should specify how long you require to be exempt, otherwise we can only issue a short term excusal.
Please note you may get called again in the future.
Kind regards,

Good to know you can get away with it at least once without proof.Felix wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 4:45 pm Email this morning

I did jury service a couple of years ago. I was hoping for a juicy murder trial that lasted for months but I was called for a trial that lasted a day and a half, after which they released me and I had to go back to workMussels wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 6:06 pmGood to know you can get away with it at least once without proof.Felix wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 4:45 pm Email this morning

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
I got a letter from the jury service, probably 20 years ago.
It wasn't registered/recorded post, just first class mail.
It went straight in the bin and I've heard anything from them since.

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
I did think about that as this is not recorded either. I just ranted on about zero attention span and you will have to waken me up every hour as its all segregated in a cinema. I have a B12 deficiency and Pernicious Anemia what makes the nodding off ten fold. On top of this i have coeliac disease and if you feed me some random crap from the canteen i will be shitting through the eye of a needle. No part of your court case will stop me from going to the toilet. I did mention my doctors name and surgery so who knows, they may have looked into it.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 8:04 pm I got a letter from the jury service, probably 20 years ago.

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
After 18 months closed, our fave restauarant reopened tonight. Tex Mex place and amazing food. The staff were all pleased to see us and brought out a bone for Elvis to eat while we were eating.
The food really is amazing. We do the whole menu and they ask if we want hot/medium etc.
It's in the town square so right in the feeling. Yup.
BUT, and a very big BUT>>>>>>>
They killed the ambience. Was always full and very Mexican based decorations. Staff gave folk sombreros for photos and tequila shots. Just a giggly place.
That's all gone. White plain walls. School dinner table. No atmosphere.
We'll go back coz we all sit outside, but folk walking past will be put off by the plain, dull outside.
