Kirstie Allie. She lived near VNY Airport & spent a lot of the time at the local Home Depot. Over the years I must have seen her there dozens of times, about 1 in every 3 or 4 visits.

(Then, years later, ended up living round the corner from Stan who was a regular at one of the local pubs).

It's not duct tape, it's specialist stiuff called Speedtape, or Mach Tape when it is used on aeroplanes. Even if it is duct tape and came from Home Depot.

Altho it does happen. There was a Reno Unlimited crash years ago when one of the flaps suddenly closed causing it to snap roll into the dirt on final to a runway. Some twat had used Chevy suspension/steering parts on the flap doodads & one sheared
