The one of Mike Hailwood behind Phil Read in the act of falling off almost looks like it was Photoshopped. And here's my pic of Ago on his MV at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

You'd have plenty of time between corners on a Bantam to spark up a tab and smerk it...

The tricky bit was lighting the cigarette. A Zippo would light while riding but it turned into an exercise in removing facial hair with a blowlamp :flame:

Saw this chap in Madeira a couple of days ago. Crap pic as I snapped it from inside the car, but...

Full face lid, but somehow also managed to have a lit smoke on the go 😆

I’d hazard a guess early 83
Had his bad crash at Siverstone on the Yam V4 then returned on a customer Suzuki.
Could this photo be on some pre season test before any sponsorship was announced ??
