I went out with a friend today through Sussex, Hampshire and Wiltshire going as far north east as Marlborough. It's been a long, sunny one, I'm exhausted but happy and going out again tomorrow We stopped at a place, that I think was The Barn near Stockbridge where I had wild mushrooms on toast We rode a mixture of A and B roads and our breaks were long as we had loads to catch up on.

Well that’s more like it, blue skies, warm temperatures, nothing to distract from the joy of riding through the British countryside.
One of those days when I could have just kept going, no fixed destination, just exploring.
There also seems to be more of these independent cafes around these days focussed on trade from those out exploring on 2 or 4 wheels with or without engines.

Nothing. Went for its first service last week and they found a fault with the rear break light. They need to replace the whole unit so it is still in the workshop. Hoping I will get it back this week, but they have been pretty poor with communication. Which is my experience since taking delivery of the bike. Shame, I had high hopes of Triumph.

That's my plan for Thurs... with a minor plan of "maybe down to the coast" but as to where on the coast, no idea yet.

I'd demand a courtesy bike.tricol wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 12:10 pmNothing. Went for its first service last week and they found a fault with the rear break light. If the shop wanted to, they'd find a way around that.

I thought that too, it's clearly just an insurance issue. They didn't even offer me a bike, I had to ask. I've heard of this issue from 2 other Trident owners and both had it sorted in a day. So, not sure what my dealer is doing. They couldn't tell me when it could be booked into the workshop, they really didn't sound sure on the phone when anything would happen with it. I've also had accessories I ordered with the bike back in November that still haven't turned up. I was told someone from their aftersales team would contact me to discuss it with a view to offering alternatives. Still no call. So, pretty rubbish dealership experience so far.
Anyway, sorry for going off topic. Hoping to add to this thread with an actual photo soon!

Rode to the hospital this morning after helping out at a funeral. Got 10 packs of hearing aid batteries. They normally only give me two, but apparently turning up in clerical collar elicits a different response!! Saves me having to go back for a bit anyhow.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Spent the day having a hoon around here....
This put an end to the fun though
Luckily the tyre stayed inflated and I managed the ride back ... Since home I've tried to remove it and its definitely punctured .
Most of the time when I get home after a run around the Peak on the 10 I think its more than I need in a bike and have toyed with changing it for something more suited to my needs but today was different. Maybe it was the more flowing or faster roads of the Dale's.. dunno but the 10 has a stay of execution

Did a commute down to my Bournemouth office for the first time since taking the Thundercat off of SORN and getting it MOT'd. What a day for it. Definitely the New Forest for the route back!
