Starting February 5, Prime Video movies and TV shows will include limited advertisements
Well that'll be me cancelling my subscription then
You'll need to sign up to Super Prime for only £3.99 a month more, it'll be add free. Right up until they start putting ads on it and then you'll need to sign up for Mega Prime.

It's curious to watch consumers being boiled like frogs.
I'm so pissed off with these big corporation scum.

They are just taking the piss more and more and more. How are they justifying the extra costs to their customers?

£2.99
Yeah, but nah, they already get £100 a year out of me for the subscription as it is, which I do consider fair, but adverts or another £36 quid isn't happening, a 36% rise for the same service I'm getting now is taking the piss.
I've just gotta binge Reacher 2 before the end of the month before pulling the plug.

Lol.
This will allow us to continue investing in compelling content and keep increasing that investment over a long period of time
They're not tying anyone down and forcing them to pay, if you don't like it, don't pay for it.

Bearing in mind that the current Prime doesn't give free access to all content.

But they are going to give me a lesser service for the same price without any choice.

As some others have alluded to, if they are left free to do this then where will it stop?

Or next day delivery. I've always seen the Prime TV stuff as a perk from paying for fast delivery anyway so it's a *shrug* from me (I'm trying to reduce my purchases from them Amazon anyway and will often check stuff out on their site then go direct/buy elsewhere if I don't need it tomorrow - and lots of places are getting quite spiffy with deliveries).

One amusing thing from Amazon, for me anyway, is their building a huge hub in Bristol has allowed that city to continue its tradition of slavery and poor working conditions. Got to keep heritage current.

My biggest gripe yesterday was the lack of communication between Brio wooden railway tunnel designers and the makers of the rolling stock. They need to agree on a common loading gauge.

The tight radius bends are a frequent cause of derailments too!

Top tip though, 3 (IIRC) DuPlo blocks are the exact right height to make Brio bridge / elevated track supports.

^^^

This - I've been actively avoiding Amazon for some time now, and will only buy from them as the option of last resort.

I can honestly say I've never used Amazon. The website was designed by a 12 year old. It's shit.

I'd love to do that but i enjoy amazon, i'm looking forward to the new grand tours and clarksons farm. I suspect i shall just carry on with the ads but i do think it's a joke.

Next you will only be able to watch the first 10 mins of a program and it will then be 50p a minute to watch the rest.

Fucking greedy corporate wankers.

It's pretty standard practice for long term and/or big contracts to have annual price reviews/rises baked in because fuck you that's why. It's been that way since forever.

Amazon's behaviour might be unpalatable but it's not unusual.

This is the thing isn't it. We all have pensions, some of them may even be linked to companies like Amazon, companies who are 'the big bad boys' who if they don't make a profit then our pensions go down. However, they're not currently, they're doing great... because the companies/things we're all investing in are going well...

So on one hand you've got people bitching about companies making profits...

On the other, these profits are benefiting the exact same people.

I'm fucking bored of it...

Yeah that, for sure.

My point is even more fundamental though. People are just as bad as the big bad companies.

"Fancy a payrise?"
"No thanks, it's not justified".

Said no-one ever :obscene-birdiedoublered:
