My dad had an Austin 7 (not a drophead) and it was very second-hand when he got it - maybe one of the last ones they made. It might have been that car or the one before it had an early attempt at a laminated windscreen where the laminate layer went yellow. (Early tinted windscreen!).

That was followed by a Standard 8 followed by.....another Standard 8. The 47/48 style, not the later one.

I should have taken more photos as it was a concourse. Hell of a resto job! Absolutely stunning!

It’s a pity then that they didn’t put a proper canvas hood on it, instead of that vinyl one.

It's not the most detailed pic, that's for sure. I think I had to scan the print some time ago.

You're on there, Hairy Ben in the middle. There's Gimp, Bobby, Orange Box - I think, and I'm pretty sure that Papercup is second left.

That was 'The one where Papercup went 'Oops''. We left there with me leading the flock and Papercup came past me with the front wheel up at 45º - at which point we all peeled off left and down through a dip with a ford at the bottom. He eventually found us.

I think we ended up at Ogri's caff.

Lots of motards turned up that day. Probably only thee and me left that would recognise folk from those days...2005-6ish I'd guess.
