Ok,there were some on the money guesses and you know who you are. I think TinPan may have been the first direct hit,but as Mrs.TP said,he failed to follow through on the initial advance.

It has almost been fun.

The bike may be one of these.

I'm late to the party on this but that was my guess and I love it - am very jealous!
I've lusted after either one exactly like that or an S2 since I was in my teens, and would still very much love one , so if you and the orange don't bond, let me know-seriously

And that Canadian import 400 Weeksy linked to, although it's not really the one I want, it ( to my untrained eye) looks pretty original and almost all there , it's also got me thinking.....

In my defence i never notice the post had more then one page until after i hit submit. To bloody lazy to delete the thing however nice bike but its no Kettle.

Sometimes its as well to ask about passed folks vehicles. Quite often they'll just approach a dealer and take whatever's offered, like house clearances*. Plus never forget the old saying, "I just hope my wife doesn't sell my bikes and bots for what I told her I'd paid for them"!

*My mate bought, nay stole, an old guys Triumph Stag and some other old car he as restoring when he died. When he was collecting them the widow said if you ant any of the tools etc please help yourself. He cam out with Snap on rollcabs, compressors, stands and just about every bit of garage equipment going. He did bung her some extra cash but she'd have let him have it all for nothing just to get it cleared out.

If someone tries to clear out your shed it'll be like the scenes in Zulu with all the parts putting up a stiff defence of their established ecosystem.

That is identical to the last one i ever seen on the road. I still have the mental picture of it parked up at Causwayside in Edinburgh in the early 80's. Funnily enough it was at a junction where i had my worst bike crash some 10 years later. Not worst in a bad bone breaking way but booked on a bike tour to Italy two or three weeks later. Thanks to Powerbronze and A3P bike shop in Edinburgh i still made it
