Off to get that 2nd blood test 🤞
I'm just giving you the benefit of my 25 years of industry experience but yeah what do I know. I think I was clear in that you should be conscious of making thoughtless decisions about what you put into your body, whether it's a pie or a vaccine, but there are strict systems in place to ensure that, with medications, if you can't be bothered the risk is minimised. I'm not bothered about convincing strangers but it grinds my gears a bit to hear just wrong and unverifiable statements like "it wasn't tested" and "benefits ... are far outweighed by the risk". And that you aren't interested in discussing it further or even acknowledging the flimsy statements just smacks of an unverifiable opinion that is basically hogwash I'm afraid. The #1 problem in medical trials is not corruption or terrible flimsy process, it's good old fashioned incompetence, same as any other industry. If you wanted to push that line I could go for it, I'm battling against this every day. But there are an enormous number of checks, measures, reviews and audits to eliminate mistakes of this nature.

Your body is fragile is fragile. Take care. Shit happens.

Good luck with the blood test.
I’m unaware of your professional involvement but you are quite mistaken on all counts here. The vaccine was not risk assessed to start with, the yellow flag system for alerting clinicians over anomalies was ignored and indeed actively shut down in a similar fashion to how i hear you speak now, wilfully dismissing all the available evidence. The holes exist, sure, within your own argument. I’ve been listening to several qualified clinicians who would also vehemently disagree with you too, but so what, at least we’re here openly talking about it whereas in other arenas all discussion (free speech) is deliberately muted.

I respect your pov, but i’m afraid we will have to agree to disagree. I’ve demonstrated i’ve been able to change my own opinion on this, so i have, at least, been flexible.

Not flexible then.

If you mean the MHRA yellow card reporting site, then yes that's the UK's mechanism for reporting anomalies. Let's not forget these are no-strings reports from absolutely anyone - they could have merit, they could also be written anecdotally or malevolently. They're not confirmed or verified adverse reactions. You could write "Pfizer turned me into a lady" if you wanted. But hey, it's a system for collecting data and I can assure you it is not ignored. the MHRA are world-leaders when it comes to being hard-arsed bastards about crap data, shitty standards and poor practice and can see through bullshit. Amusingly, they are all about open 'openness' - we are encouraged to report suspicious behaviour, reactions, data. If this is what "wilfully dismissing all the available evidence" means then yes I agree with you.

I don't even know what process "vaccine was not risk assessed to start with" is supposed to refer to, it's all presented a bit vaguely isn't it?

I have a bit of arm numbness too Potter, came out of nowhere and yes post covid, but it turns out that after an MRI I'm a 24 year old in a 54 year old body and the nerves in my neck are slightly bollocksed.

I've always been fit and healthy, I've had many tests (military and civilian) and my heart (to my knowledge) has never even been mentioned, it was always tickerty-boo.

I had four covid jabs because I needed to travel and I had to jump through the necessary hoops.

Fast forward to around Easter (IIRC) 2022 and I started to get some strange symptoms of numbness down my left arm, long story but I put it off for days until it got enough that Mrs Potter forced me to go to hospital. Again another long story, I was kept in and they were worried, I have an anomaly with my heart now, on a stress test it gives the symptoms of a blocked artery but I had all the CT scans and I have zero atherosclerosis, the consultant said he couldn't properly explain it but his best guess is that I've always had this anomaly and my body has just got used to it, he suggested that I'll die with it rather than from it.

The bloods at the time showed something slightly off, I don't drink and eat very healthily, the GP suggested it wasn't terribly urgent and I should pop in when I get the chance for more bloods - I forgot and I've seen her since and she didn't mention it again, I'll ask next time.
You are in your 60's though aren't you, so not a massive surprise that your health deteriated a bit over time.

Thing is, it isn’t just men of this age group: there’s a significant rise in cardiovascular related illness across all age groups, worldwide.

Are you serious, how absurd. I’m not a clairvoyant and have no idea who you are or what you do!

You do appear to be, i agree. Risk Assessment is a necessary prelim in the testing of all vaccines!

Wrong end of the stick, rather that my flexibility is expected despite being able to back it up, but your flexibility apparently isn't required.

Risk assessment is used throughout - it's not done once and then everyone just cracks on. Maybe if you were specific about exactly which part of the process you think risk assessment wasn't done, then we can take a look at that. But to be honest, even if it was missed, it would be picked up later.

Anecdotally, when I was a newbie in 'real work' 30 odd years ago, the fittest guy in the office was a colleague in his early 50s. Didn't look it, no bad habits, not fat, ran every lunchtime, ate well, his hobbies were mainly orienteering.

Dropped dead one lunchtime.

I went running today. Early 50s, some bad habits, started running a few months ago. My hobbies are those I should have grown out of.

Lol, I’m over a decade younger than that and I run no less than 5km every other morning, usually 10-12km, plus I eat about as healthily as anyone I know.
Oh shit sorry I genuinely thought you were older.

An aside. Guy being interviewed on local radio today. He's doing a charity run type thing, starting tomorrow.

Cape to Cairo - full length of Africa. Equivalent to a marathon every day.

He's 57, got a dodgy knee. He's outlived both male grandparents and his father had a heart attack and triple bypass at 54. 'Familial artiisclerosis' or summat.

That's sort of to be expected though, isn't it, outliving your grandparents. All 4 of my grandparents died before I was born. Not sure I can say I outlived them.

I have on the other hand, outlived one of my sons. I really don't want to outlive the other one.

Yeah I'm not sure being venerable is all it's cracked up to be. My folks are both late 80s, unbelievably fit and lucid all things considered. My dad still drives and is competent enough to drive all the way to the SofF to visit us without safety being much of a concern. My mum is being persuaded to chop in her car because it's probably time now - she drives a scarlet Golf GTI cabriolet FFS.

But yeah their main hobby is going to funerals and my dad has virtually zero male friends because they've all passed on.

BBC article (about a Musk post)
BBC wrote: Pfizer and Moderna's Covid vaccines have been linked to relatively rare cases of myocarditis
BBC wrote: but crucially, studies suggest this does not lead to have a higher risk of having a cardiac arrest.
BBC wrote: Myocarditis is more common and serious after Covid infections than after a vaccine.

Somebody is telling lies!

Do I believe the body of medical opinion, or a few blokes on the internet?
