Ha. You are there :D i went north after that up the SS36 into Switzerland then west ish to the north side of the Bodensea for the night. Like you a few roads were shut but due to roadworks so sat nav took up over a mountain pass or two. Ended up being on the road for six or seven hours what was a bit shit.

You've got me really jealous. I spent last night looking for a destination for my summer trip, I don't think the wife will be up for quite the same miles you're doing. So far the top of the list is to go see the Dune du Pilat. Just for the craic.

Be warned, the dune is easily the most interesting thing in Le Pilat...

Left mine at home. πŸ™‚ but, we both go to Greece in July. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

Made it to Lake Garda...Talking to a German chap last night and he told me about the SP58 and SP9 road that gets you to Gardnano from Crone. West of LG. Its twisty hairpins taking you up then down to Lake. Ace πŸ‘

The journey to Crone was shit though, all motorways, tunnels and complicated town roads. Satnav said about 3 hours, without motorways it said 12. So its taking the rough with the smooth.

Pulled up off road and started looking for campsites and hotels. Found the Adria Hotel for 40e a night. Balcony, swimming pool, very tidy. Thing is, it's empty, the Germans haven't arrived yet so he letting rooms half price. Nice chap and speaks good English.

Had shower, having a wander and first stop is a bar. Catch up with everything. I'm trying to talk the mrs into some phone sex, more work required but 🀞 you never know.

According to the news there's been torrential floods in Northern Italy, they've even cancelled the F1 race this weekend.
Might be worth checking which roads are open / shut.

Ye, I've heard summot similar, fine here at momento.😁 I think the Stelvio is also closed so gonna have a 2nd night here. Just chatting to another German biker and the SP38 is another must ride, only up the road so will do that tomorrow and maybe continue round clockwise.

Not sure after that. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

If you do end up on the Stelvio (and it's open), do it one end to the other, then go back up to almost the top and turn off on to the Umbrail pass.

The surface isn't as good, but you've got more chance of seeing a Marmot and it's fun dodging the cows.

Then follow your satnav through Switzerland thinking you get to go through a tunnel, only to discover you have to use a train to go through it, then back track a bit and go over the FlΓΌela-Pass... which for some reason was twice as cold as all the other passes and freezes yours tits off in your vented summer kit.

Stelvio shut, but may head north anyway, not sure yet. 2nd night in same hotel tonight, it makes so much difference when you've got somewhere to come back to, and it was a panniers free day, christ they're heavy.

Hotel boss told me about the Madonna della corona, so that was today's destination, finding a twisty route wasn't hard. Both sides of the lake have great roads, not the one next to the lake, that's full of traffic and tunnels blocked when 2 lorrys meet. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

My favourite of the day was the one from the church heading north on east side, absolutely fantastic. Cheapo action cam was out.

Weather's been very warm and mostly sunny, cooling a bit now. Back at hotel, few beers and food. Can't walk far, banged my middle toe left foot on bed leg last night, got a limp now. 🍻

Moved north a bit, like to find accommodation by 3 or 4 not too much of an issue if you got somewhere sorted. Not quite sure of name of place but nice room with bar next door. 🍻

Some cracking roads again, always a cafe to stop at for a mouthful of coffee and the all important toilet. πŸ‘

Its German speak here by the sounds of it...and I was just tidying up my Italian. 🀦 Got a few pic's .

Nice to be back in the mountains . πŸ€”

Looking at your map I think you’re fairly close to the Top Mountain Motorbike Museum, just south and east of you. Not sure if it’s open yet though.

Ooh...looks like a Roman snail. Rescued a few of those on the road up to Box Hill from Rykas (must've escaped  ). Edible iirc but they're rather nice things when they're alive.
