I'm slightly embarrassed to say that the last gig I went to was in Kirstenbosch In Cape Town , and a band called Mango Groove.

Apparently the real deal in South Africa ... but I won't be buying any of their choons. The Clash, they weren't

Tried to get Luke Combs Manchester tickets, 2 people, 1 PC, 2 laptops, 3 tablets and 2 phones, access to 2 different early access events and bombed out, next day they were for sale by scalpers at more than 10 times face value :angry-cussingblack: guess I'll have to do something else on my 50th.

It would have been my first live music event in 35 years, but fuck 'em, it's not worth the time or aggro.
More tickets to be released tommoz, so maybe..........

The Abba thing in London ( Voyage?) with my daughter

Micky Flannegan with my wife

Hamilton ( for the fourth time with anyone that has ants to go with me)

Kojey Radical in Finsbury Park

Back to the Future musical

August in England ( Lenny Henry thing)

Lemons Lemons Lemons …

A few things with my daughter in with school/college.

I might (might) be able to see Fontaines DC in Chicago later in the year in Chicago ( I have a work thing). They’re supporting the Arctic Monkeys ( who I’ve seen before).

Wife is going to Tomorrowland in Belgium for the weekend. I might join her, but currently I’ll be in Singapore.

I've been reliably informed by the Gremlinette that those legends of the UK music scene, Top Loader and Dodgy are appearing at the legendary Priory Live in Orpington come August.

Might have to go, just for shit and giggles.

Just got back from seeing Billy Ocean- he moves a lot slower than he did in the 70s and 80s, but, well so do a lot of us on here eh! :D

The voice is still there and he is still a seriously cool (old ) dude - a great night

Saw him as part of Chic about 10 years ago at a rave space in Manchester on the same bill as a lot of techno/breakbeat acts. He wiped the floor with the lot of them.

Yeah, the speed he was (not ) moving, not sure there would be any " Get on the back seat baby" any more

Great night though, top fun, and what surprised me was that it wasn't just pensioners in the audience * - there were a good number of young-uns (relative term ) there too

* (there were of course absolutely shit-loads of pensionable age people there too though  )

Bunny is also dead now, died last year i think...:(

Was one of my fav reggae artists.

Fantastic gig, Eels on top form and set list / sound / vibe were all more than I'd expected. 10/10

AND - the real bonus was the support act, The Inspector Cluzo a couple of farmers from Gascony. Sort of a cross between White Stripes and John Otway & Wild willy Barret :)

Here's a little taster that shows the style.
they did an hour set which included crowd surfing..

Anyone who has a song called "RUNNING A FAMILY FARM IS MORE ROCK THAN PLAYING ROCK N ROLL MUSIC" gets my vote.

Go check them out. They'll make you smile.
