I did get fed up with one place where one bike sales person seemed to think I was his personal commission machine. I went in one day he was on holiday and did a deal (buy/trade-in) with another sales person and you would have thought I'd jilted him at the altar.
The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

Many years ago (1999) I worked near Carnells in Milton Keynes.
I'd just got paid out for my RF900 and looking for a ZX6R.
I bought the MCN while walking Homer and read it over my Corn Flakes.
Lo and behold Carnell had ZX6R for about £1500 off. But only 1 per shop.

Woo hoo. Sped off to work and popped into Carnells.
Staff were usually crap, but this day all in an office with door closed.
I opened the door to be met with disgust. I started to ask but got rebuffed "We're busy"

I chucked a wad of notes on the table and said "too busy to sell me a bike"

All the staff sniggered at dickhead boss.

As we were doing the paperwork another dude came in to buy a cheap ZX6R. Tough titty mate :D

I was late for work but boss giggled when I told him why ;)
