I’m thinking the wife stood on the box, because they were ok one minute then like that the next. I had already done the other fork when I took that picture and I needed her to hold the fork level whilst I used the oil level tool, it’s a great tool but hard to use whilst holding the fork etc.

That’s the spare room come laundry room. My garage is all to fuck at the moment, a million miles away from how I want it.

Forks back on the bike and back to being a commuter, albeit for one day. Not a bad day but cold, bit of debris because of the wind last night but should be ok for the ride home.

After fitting the Brembo m/c I was having a problem where the brake lever adjuster knob was fouling the clocks when getting close to left lock, you couldn’t reach full lock and when it fouled the clocks it was activating the brake.

So ordered a set of Yoshimura bump stops and stuck them on solving the problem.

The Exhaust servo eliminator plug arrived today as well so that’s now fitted extinguishing the FI light.

Bottom picture is with the bars fully to the left, plenty clearance now.

Had to use the bike yesterday for work, what a state, it was cold and proper pissing down, bike is a bit louder at idle but still relatively ok with regards to pissing off the neighbours. No FI light because of the eliminator plug which is good, bit pricey at £40 but it was needed.

I must admit I will be sad to see the bike go because it’s a good bike, it’s purely the fact that I wanted back on something newer and wanted back on a beemer.

I’ll organise getting the bike mot’d in the next week or two then put up on eBay.

The bike was booked in for an mot on Thursday there but the weather put an end to that, so bikes booked in again tomorrow which works perfectly well as I’m having to take it to work anyway.

Bike should pass not a problem.

Weather was spot on for taking the bike for its MOT today, she’s a cracking bike.

Currently for sale and as far as I can see she’s the cheapest on eBay, slightly higher mileage than most but for a 2009 bike it’s not that bad, decent spec as well.

Does the Mrs always have to lift you on or have you got some steps when she's not about?

Like the curious case of Benjamin Button, that’s me at the end of my life, you know those folk that are like 56 years old but look about 2, that’s me.

Managed to get out for a few miles today, temps were around 9-11 degrees with bone dry roads, sun was out and felt warm at times, couldn’t say no.

Pretty much sums up the ride today, front wheel up most of the time, probably the last time I’m out on the GSXR.

Definitely won’t be out on the bike again. Removed the plate and stuck the original back on, and as of there the now, Sorn’d!!!!!!!!

One last full blown wash degrease of chain etc etc and put in the rain room to make way in the garage for the beemer.

Had a cheeky offer on eBay from a trader, had a nose at their seller page and they have about 15 GSXR’S, will just have to wait.

Aye, that's the place... see my thread/message on Derns thread. The one we went to see may have been the exception. But lets just say the place itself was a bit... well.... run down. Bikes stacked in touching fairings and covered in dust, dirt and just all a bit neglected.

Not surprised. Offer was £3650. I countered with £4500 and never heard back.

I looked the place up on google maps and it does look a dump.

Are bike prices still going up? Thinking of holding onto my MT-07 for a month or so, to let the season kick in, before selling it and hoping it'll get me a few hundred more for doing so?
