Home! After 16 nights in hospital.
I got held up for a few more days because my scar swelled up. Had to go for another contrast MRI. Swelling is a heamatoma and there are some small signs of osteomyelitis, however the treatment for that is the antibiotics treatment I've already started.
Just gotta do some follow up blood work over the next few weeks and keep taking my pills.
Would I still have had the microdiscectomy if I'd known this was gonna happen? Honestly, probably yes. That's how unpleasant permeant sciatica is

Tell your disc surgeon to wash his apron and use fresh gloves and autoclaved instruments!
