While clearing out my Da's shed,I found this old 1920s RAC brass grill badge. I bet they worked harder in those days!

Went exploring and found a new valley only 4/5 miles from home. We never seen a way into it. Was tough going and we had to manhandle the bikes a few times.
At first we were riding about half way up with huge drop to side. We saw a path on the valley floor, so we went back to start but couldn't find the path we saw.
We struggled to do the full length as no established paths so not sure of easist way. Just searched Google earth and just seen a possible route for next time.

Then 2 hours on our fave twisty bits

Was out 4 hours and having so much I came home the long way.

Then straight in the pool

I've had worse days

I take it you always go out riding with a mate? Doesn't look like the kind of terrain where you'd want to have an off if you were on your own. What's mobile phone coverage like?

Yup. Never go off trail by yourself. Just 2 of us today. 4 or 5 usually.

Always good phone signal.

Today I bought a new, 32 yr old bike. :bblonde:

It’s a 2 stroke single and pinker than Bigyin’s kitchen

Pick it up Friday.

I'm trying to reduce my meds in rehab to find out if my shoulder does actually hurt (the bone, not the muscle). Of course, I forgot when I made the plan to reduce a bit more on the weekend, that Sunday always seems to be the worst day of the weekend for muscle aches.

So I've been crocheting yesterday and today (lights not been good for cross stitch) and now sat wondering if the hurty bit in my arm is at the level of the metal coming out of the bone or if it's a combination of the aches from last week and the crochet!!

Uncertainty can just go do one!!! (It won't! But I wish it would!! LOL)

But, I've done two laps of the floor my ward is on, and walked to lunch. So hopefully I can ditch the crutch by the end of next week :D :D

Bought some trousers, jacket, belt and socks.

(Livin' the life here eh?). :D

Waiting for my new ultra-cheapo (but star buy for Which?) espresso coffee machine to arrive and pondering the difference between 'textured' and 'frothed' milk and also grind size.

A fella I know from years ago called today to show me his new bike. They do look well in the flesh, but they are really small, tall riders may suffer.

He traded his ZH2 for this one,due to insurance costs.

Had my first ever go on a treadmill today!! LOL Damn that was weird!

Only walked for ten minutes (part of the physio session) and it almost felt too slow as I struggled with balance - not ideal for une maladroite

At about 8 mins I was wanting to call it quits cos muscles just below my hips were very unhappy and the left knee was grumpy. I managed to last to 10 mins, and do the rest of the days walking around!!

But, it's almost like getting off a boat onto dry land. I stopped the machine and got back down onto the ground and felt like nothing was still!! I'm pretty sure I wasn't 'dizzy', but it did feel like the same feeling I have had in the past when getting of a boat and back to solid ground

Physio is a bit scary - she says I need to do that every day (as well as a load of other stuff I do) and we'll increase the speed, length of time and the incline over the next 2-3 weeks!! Scary in a good way! LOL `should be fit to go walking in the mountains when I get home (just not the really steep ones to start with! LOL)

Downside is that in talking with the physio I mentioned the metal in my arm that has apparently moved and said that I need to ask the doctor tomorrow but i'm guessing it's the stem into the humerus. She said that she thinks it's the screws holding the ball in place. So I'm wobbling on the edge of bursting into tears at the mo. The other bit moving wouldn't have been an issue (in my head) but the ball dropping out of place means it will definitely affect the range and could be a longer term issue that needs surgery.

That knee surgeon that wouldn't listen to me trying to explain the issues with the crutches due to the shoulder, well I Really want to go hit him with something very heavy (if only I could wield it :( :( )

Started to drive to work, 2 miles away from home, clutch cable broke. That was fun. Parked up, got the wife to collect me, go home get a few tools and the replacement cable I was meant to fit months ago and fitted it.

Then went for a walk to our local park to feed the Coots and geese and ducks, and saw this giant gold fish.

I can't use 'em.
We have one here but anything above walking pace and I can't get my legs and brain to agree

Gave my new cheap-as-chips espresso machine (with steam wand :D ) a maiden brew. Quite impressed with the results. Bit of a faff for 1 or 2 coffees per day but quite fun - will see if the novelty wears off.

Had a swim.

As some know I have been doing CBT training for a while but have been waiting 6 months to progress further. Finally it came around that I could attend an assessment so spent today at Chadderton DVSA being assessed in torrential rain and pleased to say I am now a fully qualified CBT and Direct Access Motorcycle Instructor

250 miles there yesterday and 250 miles back today so fairly knackered

Beers on me :obscene-drinkingcheers:

I think I have that issue with running on normal ground  I think the treadmill will be ok when I find the 'right' speed for normal walking pace (as long as my knee agrees!). I definitely won't be running - not built for that in any way, shape or form

I love my Lidl version. I got it second hand for 25€ and have found I appreciate the faf to get a nice coffee every morning :D :D
