Add to that, for what they are, they're very very expensive. They're £3000+ more than the same MT07

That'd put me off, cheaper to change the riding position of the MT

It's a decent point...I've not ridden many things with funny sized front wheels.
I'm not against the looks too much. But the only one i can really think of close was @G.P Triumph 800 which I absolutely HATED and couldn't get round a single corner when i rode it.
I never got on with the XT660R I had and moved it on shortly after buying it. It felt like a completely different bike to the XT660X.

Well that was so nearly a winner... The seat height position is actually brilliant and it really does mean i can move my foot easier into 'race' position.

The downside is that to do so, i need to push my arse too far back on the seat for where i want it, otherwise there's a transition / ridge that i don't like where it goes from lower>raised. So you end up either sitting near the tank with your arse on the ridge, or behind the ridge but that's almost like you're going down Mugello straight and trying to get yourself into a racing aero crouch.

What about a shock which allows you to raise the rear ride height?

The ones on here are not going to be impressed by an MT07 unless i put a 1299 engine in it.

It's worth considering. A few mils can make a huge difference, both in handling and comfort.
I had an Ohlins on a ZX9R with ride height adjustment. I just fiddled until it was a slappy bastard, then backed it off a bit for a sweet turning bike.

It might feel odd to start with, but was it not worth sticking with it to see if you got used to it?

I quite like the standard seat.... so not really no.... the comfort thing isn't a massive issue, certainly not a deal breaker. But was worth a try.

With my FZR400 I stuck a 20mm foam race seat on top of the standard seat.

Yes, but, well, I'm me. There's correct, there's wrong, there's nothing other than that.

Hence, I rebought the swing arm today.

It's got to be right
