Bit of a week this week. Monday was a holiday, so had an extra day to recover from physio and OT!
Then, on Tuesday I had an appointment with the shoulder surgeon. I was given a letter to take to her from the doctor in rehab. So, as it wasn't sealed, I read it - as best I could with my lack of reading skills! LOL The last bit mentioned surgery

So I got google translate out and used the photo bit to translate that last paragraph - yup - mentions additional surgery

WTAF
Taxi was 1.5 hours late to go, so almost missed xray (arrived with moments to spare before 12:00!!), then made my way up to the surgeon (had to wait nearly an hour for the taxi back too

)
She was pleased to see that not only was I no longer in ridiculous pain, but I had more mobility in the shoulder, so all going the right way

I questioned about the note in the letter and she relooked at the xrays and said she didn't see any problems. Also that when she did the applications for rehab places she did write that continued use of the crutches could cause the prosthesis to move

(didn't know that either!! LOL). Anyway, I have a CT scan booked for Tuesday morning (in the same hospital as rehab, so no messing around with taxis!) just to confirm all is well. TBF, I'm not worrying now as when the first one moved (before the second op), damn that was painful. Ridiculously so (more than after 9 weeks on crutches). Given that the pain is reducing again to the point I don't really call it pain. It hurts a bit after physio or OT but generally it's ok outside that
Tuesday afternoon I walked 'almost' properly at the parallel bars

(Almost because I leant quite a lot on the left bar!)
Wednesday the physio taught me to walk using one crutch

Ok, I'm 'doing it wrong' because I have to use the one crutch on the same side as the bad leg - it should be the opposite side, but I can't use the right arm for the crutch cos of the shoulder. But - I could walk a bit
Thursday - loads of walking with one stick, not just in physio - she told me to walk to and from physio

First time I've been able to walk in the corridor since I arrived! It's probably not much over 100/120m from my room to physio, but damn that made me feel good.
Today, OT has been seriously positive, I did a couple of exercises without the weighted sling/suspension system that helps me lift the arm

Then more walking to physio.
This afternoon I went to physio on wheels as she wanted me to do all leg work - so, leg presses, curls, extensions then exercises at the parallel bars

I did most of the stuff at the bars without leaning on my left arm
At the very end of the session, I walked about four steps totally normally

Bloody AWESOME. Can't actually do much more yet as the left leg muscles are soooooo weak. But damn this week (after the initial shock of the doc's letter) has been bloody awesome
