Targeted ads that aren't, when it suits them.
I keep seeing adverts on social media "Under Armour T shirt just €15". I click the link to find out that its the youths sizes that are on sale FFS
These 'people' must know I am not, nor do I possess, children !!

Jesus Fucking H Christ, some Septics have come sat next to us in a nice cocktail bar and totally ruined my Long Island with their inane overly loud chit chat. I might start talking loudly about Hunter Biden see what happens.

Pub experts.
6 months ago Elvis the Springer was very poorly buy the vet worked wonders and he's better than ever. His liver was buggered coz the bile duct was poisoning it.
Was telling a lady last night, who suddenly became an expert
'Tell your vet that they must use XXXX' on and on and on. She got louder
She wouldn't stop until I told her to shut up.
Farking annoying batch.

The two reporters/commentators on Sky News this morning discussing the Bully XL clusterfuck. One knew nothing about the issue, followed the current media hysteria and just waffled and the other just used it to peddle her anti all dog agenda because she “grew up in Africa where dogs were either rabid or guard dogs” (her words).
I think you’ll find no rabid dogs and relatively few guard dogs here in the UK you poisonous old harpy.

My Boss leaving.
In all my working life she is probably the best Boss I've had. She trusts my judgement and takes my advice on stuff I know that she doesn't and she administers my workload and our dept with incredible efficiency. I'm very pleased for her with her knew post, but will be gutted to see her go. Ho hum...

Re: Insignificant/ Significant things that BYP or just wind you up a little
Stupid little accidents.
Went down to FLASH last week for (possibly/probably) his last paying weekend and we were 20km form arrival on the ride down when we were reversed into by a van/trailer.
We were following the van/trailer through a town, when an enormous combine came around the corner in front of us.
The van pulled off to the right, leaving what appeared to be plenty of room for the combine.
I pulled in behind the trailer (loaded with slabs of marble in wood cases), about 6 feet behind, thinking i was safely out of the way.
All of a sudden, and for no good reason, the trailer starts coming back towards the front wheel and before i can find the horn, the mudguard is crushed and the front wheel is under the trailer cross-beam.
Matey jumps out of his van while I've still got the horn mashed and a completely pointless shooting match ensued, (I was too pissed to even attempt French, and he had no English)
Eventually i calmed down enough to realise that the only damage to the bike was the mudguard, and it wasn't worth any more argument.
Matey calmed down too, asked if we were on holiday, we said yes, and he went and got his wallet and gave me 50 Euro, then we shook hands. 6 of one and half-dozen of the other. He didn't need to move, but he couldn't see me where i was, I'd put myself into a blind spot inadvertently.
Simply not worth an insurance claim, but bloody irritating to have the incident in the first place.
Got to Flash's place and did my best with duct tape to make the bike safe.
Got to find a replacement now....
Oh yeah, forgot to add, the guys trailer obviously had an aluminium cross beam, it was bent to buggery when he pulled it forward off the front tyre!

Bloody hell!! My BIL has recommended a friend that does Air BnB - here's hoping she's not that sort of price.
I was looking for a travelodge/premier inn for about 60 ish quid
Bloody glad I have places to stay the other nights!! Damn!!!

Just back from the local bar, I would have stayed longer but had a couple of planks telling me about chemtrails.

Not used Travelodge for years ( a bit scummy) but Premier have upped their prices massively in the last few years

Yup. As much as they advertise cheaper prices, it's usually somewhere you don't want to be on the wrong date.Cousin Jack wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2023 7:10 pm More or less par for hotel in England. I have just bopked one in Watford for £97.
Often, breakfast and parking are extras. And if you want the cancellation option.

Try the prices in the Chichester one when there's something on at Goodwood.MrLongbeard wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2023 7:49 pmCosting me £140 for a room in Manchester for one night in the middle of October ffsCousin Jack wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2023 7:19 pm Not used Travelodge for years ( a bit scummy) but Premier have upped their prices massively in the last few years
Dynamic pricing - on steroids.
