We still see this dynamo rig in the workshop from time to time. Surprisingly they often work really well. It's satisfying to bring an old bike and its original components back to life.

Revolutionised night riding up the woods for us when we were kids. We couldn't afford the D cells battery for ordinary lights and if we did they only lasted about 20 minutes. With the dynamo we could ride teh trails at night and almost see where we were going!

We had a new bike in last week for a general service and checkout. It had a hub mounted dynamo that run both lights at full tilt whilst the wheel barely turned. It also had a small capacity storage system that kept the lights on for a fair amount of time when you were stationary.
Technology:it's the future

You should listen to Into the Woods by Hawkwind. Great, trippy, album. One of my favourites.

Always disappointing to see that on a brass band.

Like my toilet floor. I could sit and watch the lino for hours and see things different every time.

And, at the main trunk, to the right of that face, the chin/lips/cheek.
