A lot of uproar about it locally, especially over the numbers in attendance. Once again we see a two tier legal system in operation. Travellers really do act with impunity round here.

Well I'm sure the lockdown police would have been handing our many a fine to the scally-wags, just as they would have done to us non-traveler types....

The bicycle pump unscrewing the valve core of the inner tube so ALL the air come out in a whosh and once you've sorted that the pump fails and leaves you 3 miles from home with a flat tyre, cold, wet and miserable.

Flashing lights on things!

Not ambulances or Zebra crossings, they are warranted, but things like routers and smoke alarms.

I've just been given my new staff accom and in my bedroom there's both a router and smoke alarm flashing away every few seconds 24 hrs a day. Whats the frikken point?

To show the router is working. Well I'll know if it stops working as the wifi will stop
To show the smoke alarms working. What was wrong with the push to test button?

There was a big fuss about 12 years ago about leaving your TV on standby and the electric that little LED would consume over it's lifetime. Manufacturers seem to have responded to that by adding MORE lights to more things :(

Ohh and while I'm at it, things that beep WAAAAAY too loud. I have a Bosh hob in my kitchen, so bloody noisy. Not a bad idea for it to beep when turning it on, but I don't need it to beep so loud I can hear it 3 rooms away every time I turn it up or down or off.

I can't log in to the UK Government Gateway thingy because they didn't ever correct information that they had that was incorrect (my date of birth!!)

I had this issue a long time ago and managed to set up an account somehow. Just tried to log in and eventually got to the point where they send a code - to my old UK number. Nope, can't get that, so I can fill in name, NI number and Date of Birth

Message comes up - incorrect info

So, despite me sending the relevant information a few years ago to correct the error (they have my DOB wrong but I can't remember the date they think it is ) they haven't actually corrected it

Good job I have to phone them anyway!! but :angry-cussingblack:

A black marker pen would sort it.

A mate had a 'Sonic' bike intercom. He was an electronics engineer, so took it apart. He found that the 'power on' light used more battery power than the actual intercom.

Urgh!! Tell me about it.

I had to be security checked for work through the government website recently.

This meant going to gov.uk and filling in the forms. For some reason I couldn't use the .gov account I already had that does tax stuff so I had to create a new one. To create a new one, I had to go to the post office website to verify who I was.

This meant I had to create a Post Office account. I did this nd input all my details, passport number, driving license number, recent bank history and then I was verified.

So back to .gov where I had to put all of the exact same information in again. The only difference was that it refused to accept my driving license number, no matter how many times I tried. In the end I had to say "Not known" which translated on the form as me not having one.

Anyway, it came back clear and I sent that and the rest of the forms back to the company and all was good.

Then I get an email from the company saying the gender is wrong on my .gov certificate. And yes it is, I'll have to get it corrected.

There's a number on the form to call, so I call. The options don't sound like what I want, but I can go to the website and sort it out. I decide to do it online but when I finally find the page, it's not for my type of certificate, only the other 2 types. So back on the phone and choose an option that doesn't really sound like what I want, but is the closest thing. I eventually get to speak to someone and she tells me I have to raise a dispute online, on a different part of .gov but I have to log in to do so. It turns out this is yet another log in account I have to create. 3 fucking accounts created now.

Unfortunately the website is running like shit and keeps timing out when I'm trying to create my account, but I persevere and eventually create the account. Just need to verify it with a time sensitive code sent to my phone. The code doesn't arrive. I request again. No code. Request again. Code arrives. Wrong code. Send a new code. Wrong code and I realise I'm in that spiral of codes arriving out of sync with the ones needing to go in the box, I keep trying, but then I've used too many codes and I'm locked out for 24 hours.

Fuck it. I've not gone back.

They're trying to oppress you. Just tell them you can be whatever gender you choose to be. And it can change with the wind. ;)

You don't have to have your balls removed to change genders. Don't you know nuffink?

There are over 100 genders for you to choose from (the BBC said it so it must be true) so you could have a different gender every day for three months without repeating yourself.

What product do they decide to advertise
"The new show, Unforgivable on UK TV Play"

FFS whats the point in that !!??

That reminded me.

I got a phone call the other day. "Is that Mr Loot?"
"Mr Lout. yes"
"Do you get lots of nuisance calls on your phone?"

Got a litre bottle of cold pressed olive oil today. Dropped it as I was putting it into the cupboard! Man that took some clearing up! :(
