There's been some 'discussion' about new AI processes in the astrophotography (AP) world - a lot of the AP end product is post processing (data capture is a bit technical and needs a lot of precision but is only about 1/3rd of the total result) and a lot of people still do it in PS. One such process is TOPAZ which is a deconvolution tool but is treated with a lot of scepticism in AP as it clearly adds data to do what it does i.e. fill in gaps.
I'm currently trialing another AI based deconvolution tool called BlurXterminator from a guy called Russell Croman (RC Astro) which does not add stuff to the data like TOPAZ or this Generative fill In does. They say the camera doesn't lie but the photographer may well do.
