Sounds a bit hum-drum. Could you not throw in the gory details of a five day exorcism? You know, demonic possession, flying furniture, holy water being throw about, cries of 'The power of Christ compels you!!' and all that stuff?
Well I did a funeral today where I did fling about holy water, but it was symbolic of her passing through Christ's death into His life. So yes, I can do some drama, but I thankfully have not had to do exorcisms, although I'm sure I've met people who should have that deliverance ministry applied to them!
Someone quite close to me was exorcised as a teenager. Not sure why but will have to enquire. They seem quite normal and I can't spot any marks like the number of the beast or anything. Must have worked.
By 'Close' do you mean family or physically?
Were you the neighbour of the beast?

Watching sand dry.
It's similar to paint drying, but there's colour change to keep interest

Been to a shed emporium in Farnham. Just need a smallish one to replace an old 8ft*6ft one that the previous owner put up. It appeared to have been made out of the stuff they used to make matchboxes out of (felt covered roof had collapsed, walls rotting, hinges snapped, floor

) so it went in the skip and, as it had just been plonked on a few wooden bearers, I had a concrete base laid.
Decided a small potting shed would be fine - just need it to put the mower and assorted garden stuff in.
2 potential suppliers, 3 choices of wood, 3 choices of finish/treatment and combinations of them ie pressure treated/tannalised+surface treatment, 3 choices of roofing material. Do I want it installed on wooden bearers? Stable door? Security lock/hinges?
Aaaaaaaagh! My brain hurts.
Went for a coffee, couldn't park as half the car park was 'farmers' market.
Gave up. Came home.

The wifes best friend is up from Devon and popped in today for a couple of hours. First time they'd seen each other in 4 years! There was Belgian chocolate cake and carrot cake, but they didn't want any as they have joined Slimming World. When they had gone the wife said if they can lose weight, so can we! I don't want anything like cake in the house. Well, you've got to do your bit and help out haven't you...
Truth be told feel a bit sick now!

Pork for a late Sunday lunch, lovely day in the sun.

Gave the two year old niece a baby shark puppet that sings the song when you operate it's mouth.
She's now obsessed.
She was singing the song as we left.
I love pissing my sister off.

Today I Baptised a young boy whose parents were born in the same city as me, Durban, whose father went to the same high school as me 10 years after me and he also likes bikes having a nice TZR250 he imported from Japan. So I rode the Triumph to Church and had fun.

Woke up at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep properly. Eventually got up but didn't feel great. Had a bit of breakfast that didn't stay in me long.
Thought I'd jump on the bike and be fine with a bit fresh air, but got halfway to work, and thought 'why am I doing this?', called in and turned the bike around.
Crawled back under the duvet and have just woke up. Still feel nauseous but a bit better.

Good decision. Work does not care if you don't feel well. Take the time to recover, drink fluids and rest.

Got home from work after a night shift, got home to find Mrs M in a fluster as the interwebs was broken and her pressing random buttons on the router hadn't fixed it.
Rang our broadband provider, threatened them with a visit from the Imperial Secret Police and lo and behold it was fixed within the hour (translated, I rang Zen internet who were very nice and professional and said that Openreach were attending a fault near where we lived).
Have just received a letter from our Chief Exec asking me not to vote for industrial action due to threats to T&C's, pay rise, redundancies etc, we've no money in the pot but thank you for working hard for the last two COVID years getting critical workers to work etc oh an if you strike you won't get paid (no shit). So I'm mentally drafting* a letter to him saying if you managed your projects better and didn't piss eye watering amounts of money away and stop letting suppliers rape us we'd have plenty of money for a pay rise.
Dog walk to the pub later.
*said letter will probably not get typed.

Yesterday I headed to two different hospitals in different towns and we took advantage on the way back and stopped at a supermarket (my first visit to one since February!!)
First hospital, relatively close, for xrays on shoulder and to collect the knee xrays from March
Then on to Grenoble to see shoulder surgeon. I've been a bit panicky in case the pain in my shoulder means I'm fubar'd the metal bits whilst trying to get around on crutches. She's happy that the metal is all fine, a bit miffed that the muscles have regressed since using crutches, but it is to be expected. Bonus is that she has requested a place in a rehab centre for both my leg and my shoulder

Do so love my shoulder surgeon, she rocks!! Gotta wait maybe 2 weeks, but it's in process now, so I' a bit more relaxed!!
On the way back we headed to Lidl for a random shop!! LOL Very random for me as I couldn't push the trolley (not sure why, but it just didn't work for balance and the duff leg!) so everytime I found something to add to the trolley, my mate was with it but miles (ok, metres) away!! Not easy to carry items to a trolley when both hands are needed to use crutches
Most exciting (sort of) bit of the day - getting on and off the escalator, twice

Still not sure how I 'should' have done it, but what I did did not feel very safe!! I survived, so it's ok, but . . . . . . .
Off to see physio in a bit then some friends have invited a few of us to their chalet. No lift and a LOT of stairs

Booked Eurotunnel and accommodation for the three week European jaunt in August. Places are becoming very expensive now, but I managed to get something nice. Just need to get car serviced, MOT sorted and green paper for EU travel. I've got AA cover for Europe, so that is nice. Be great to take the family away for this time and just enjoy being together. Taking three days to get to Hungary and 4 days to come back home.

Please check independently, but pretty sure a green card is no longer reqd for travel within EU from UK from July of 2021.
Insurance companies will of course be pleased to sell you one however.
