Buenos Aires 1933 vs 2024
The Avenida 9 de Julio in Buenos Aires 🇦🇷 (the widest in the world) used to be full of buildings and houses. In 1933 they began to demolish 20 blocks, and it took 3 months to demolish each block. The new Avenida as we know it today was inaugurated in 1937.

Some people don't find it funny.

Like the guy I knew who found it scratched onto the roof of his car.

He'd really pissed someone off, they did every large panel with art or text!

The rain was the heaviest registered on the island for several years – in the Las Cucharas area of Costa Teguise, more rain (62.5 mms) was registered in the two hours of between 1 pm and 3pm than fell during the whole of 2024 or 2023. Nevertheless, other parts of the island received only light showers or no rain at all.

Well it's a GTO so strictly speaking it was made to satisfy a racing rules requirement. :D

And racing tracks we're smooth even in those days.

Not to mention the small thing about value. They were VERY expensive cars, but not £40 million.

I'd rather have 3 McLaren F1s for that price, then I don't have to worry about dinking one.
