1 Hour 28 mins on hold @ Virgin Media - I could of knocked on the door of the call center as it's in Swansea. Very nice fella, was gonna rip his head off but thought chill now. Went through Broadband and phone deals / upgrades.

The he told me he can't get close to the ''On Line'' deals so best I do it there.

FFS....

On the cheque situation I do get a few so now drop them in the local Post Office. A couple of days and they appear on the bank account (ish). Last time I had a upper and downer with Barclays ( I used put them in their post box ) they were unsure of when the post box was emptied ''depends on if the staff had free time''.

Least I can get in and out of the Post Office quicker..And it's NEXT DOOR to Barclays !

So have gone to do it ''On line''. Price at beginning is £43 / m and when u get to the ''place order confirm'' page it says £68.00 / m

with no option to find out who's having my £25 a month...

Think I'll knock it on the head..

I had a little bit that stayed on the ground for half an hour before melting, normally I'd be happy about that but I saw the forecast yesterday and went out to do some panic shopping.

Just been to local Waitrose/Iceland and they've no bacon or spicey burgers :(

Summat to do with the new meat import/export laws apparently.

We've got a local butcher who is making quite a business from making bacon, burgers and sausages!! Ok, not 'that' local to me by road (Only about 13kms if I could fly!!) but definitely worth the trip when I've made space in the freezer!! LOL (Keep getting more handouts from chalet companies, so I can't fit anything else in yet! LOL LOL)

I reckon there'd be a market for having your sausage held in customs.

Monday, my Step Mothers carers ring and say they suspect she has a UTI as she was hallucinating etc. Called out Community Treatment Team who took some bloods. Yesterday evening I get a phone call from an Ambo crew who were there to take her to hospital. Turns out the blood tests show there are some abnormalities, enough so that she needs to go straight to hospital. Given the NHS reluctance to admit anyone to a Hospital at present, i'm concerned to say the least. :(

Last night at 10 past midnight my mobile rings! I pick it up as it has no caller ID and I guess it'll be the hospital as no one else would ring me at that time of night! So, I answer and a Doctor introduces himself. Ringing after midnight, I naturally fear the worse! Turns out he just wants to check on her background information! FFS, ten past midnight for background info and general information about her Carers package!

Tbf mate, I'd rather they called at midnight than missed something in her meds/history etc

I had this every time my father moved hospital. Notes were never passed on and each time I had to fill in the blanks where the system failed. Like yourself, getting a phone call late in the day sets off alarm bells. Rinse and repeat for social workers, occupational therapists, language experts etc.

No fucker communicates, every move is a clean slate/fresh start.

I hope your stepmum gets sorted TP.

So would I, but there was no meds question as they have copies of her MARs sheets etc. This was literally, So she was in with us over Xmas? How is her mobility? So she has Carers 4 times a day? He was sort of reading her history to me and I was just dutifully confirming. Seemed a very odd time of night for such routine questions and it didn't lead to anything I was made aware of? She's been in and out of hospital quite a bit over the last year or so, never had this before, but then as my wife pointed out, I get pissed off when no one tells me anything... :?

Yup, we're walking the same path for sure. I have no idea why the notes are (seemingly) never kept? I've had to point out several times that I told their colleagues all of this a few hours ago or yesterday etc. When she was in over Xmas with covid i had several calls a week asking exactly the same questions and this is during one long stay? I'm guessing this Doc had the handover notes from the Ambo crew? Frit the fecking life out of me calling at that time though!

Properly insignificant.

I'm look at printers and mine is dying (hoping it'll last a bit longer but it is properly temperamental at the moment )

Sooo many small/portable printers have colour prints coming out of them on the description pictures but when you read the information, they are monochrome :angry-cussingblack:

Hey ho!

Travellers and the local Police! :angry-cussingblack: Travellers funeral down the road to me. They have parked vans, pick up, horseboxes and trailers with horses in, all over the verges and churned them up. Those that haven't illegally parked there have just literally blocked the main road and nothing can get through. There are 2 buses who can't get on their route and are sitting on the joining road with their hazards on! Of course Plod is no where to be seen, not even for traffic duties and the normally omnipresent traffic wardens have mysteriously disappeared too. Unbelievable how these people act with absolute impunity! :angry-cussingblack:

I've said for a while now, the only people being policed in this country are those who choose to be policed, as it's far easier to pick the low-hanging fruit in terms of fines and targets.....

Want to act outside the law, go ahead. You'd have to do something very serious to even get a sideways glance from the plod.
