Shocking scenes might be less shocking on second watch, but Emilia Clarke remains undiminished

Based on true story/events etc. Cast of farsands! Hollywood must have only made one film that year as everyone was in this!. Not bad at all for one of those type films.

Quite enjoying the latest series of The Crown because despite it being so recent there's a lot you forget, and TBF I wasn't remotely interested in the Royals in the 90s. The bits about the Al Fayed family are really interesting anyway. I certainly didn't watch the news much in that period so presumably much of my royals news came from my folks discarded copies of the DailyMail, which certainly put a different slant on it.

Don't want to be rude, but from what I've read, there's very little historical accuracy.

As Good as it Gets, for about the 20th time. It is probably my wife and I's favourite film and we enjoyed it, yet again!

Just finished the 3rd episode, it's not as terrible as it could be.

It's actually quite funny, tho' Warwick Davis' acting is more wooden than a wooden thing made of wood.

Eventually finished The Devil's Hour last night (Prime).

It was pretty good, got to the last episode thinking 'how the hell are they going to wrap this lot up?' but they did, in an interesting way.

Brutal murders, serial killer, weird kid, Peter Capaldi, timey-wimey stuff.

Rates a solid "yeah, its OK". Two thumbs maybe!

Pretty good advert for camera and SFX tech though.

Watched 1917 yesterday (think it was iPlayer, so no ads ).

Thought it was really good. Quite a few big names but nicely restricted to cameos to let the lesser names carry the plot through. It has the feel of real time/one take about it although there's a 'fade to black' that splits it into two. I don't usually bother digging into the cinematography stuff but it was interesting enough to have a read about how they did it. Thought it was better than Shaving Ryan's Privates.

Just finished The Peripheral series.
Pretty decent Scii Fi, well worth the watch.
No spaceships though.

The Banshees of Inisherin. Weird. Very weird. Not as weird as Gleeson's ears, but weird nonetheless!

And at the other end of the entertainment spectrum, Eric Idle's 'What about Dick?' On Netflix.

No opportunity for a double-entendre knowingly missed.
