The mad kitten has made me fall about with laughter this morning.

I have a 'sort of' table under the window now (sort of - big storage box with a table top on it. But raised by some wood so not 100% steady!)

I'm trying to discourage the kitten from being on the table cos it's under the window and I'm trying to put off needing screens - I know at some point she'll be up there sniffing the fresh air, but right now I'll keep discouraging her!!

This morning I'm sat trying to sort some paperwork for the French paperazis and she's having a funny 5 mins which including racing across the laptop keyboard and sitting on the printer

Not a huge problem (although she did manage to change the keyboard to French en route!!  )

But - cos of her 'wobbly' syndrome and the less than 100% stable condition of the table, whilst she was sitting and wobbling, the whole table top was wobbling with her - no chance of typing in those circs!! LOL

Cue me absolutely howling with laughter

Took a long time to get back to the paperwork cos we was playing!! LOL :banana-dance: :banana-dance:

Today is International Yoga Day.

My yogini is planning to celebrate by doing 108 sun salutations in the park this evening. Given that it looks like it might be more rain salutations, I suspect it may be postponed.

If you've never given yoga a go, I recommend trying it. I find it helps with flexibility and relaxation massively. Incense is optional. ;)

Namaste.

Our lass was up at 6:30 doing yoga on the bedroom balcony as the sun rose. Then she's doing another session later on the beach.

It's not for me though ;)

My nephew joined the Royal Navy 4 years ago as an officer.
He's worked hard and he gets his "Wings" on Friday.
We can't go, but just found out from my brother that it's being streamed live.

Very proud uncle

Both my ladies have gone out up town. Billy No Mates is trawling through the freezer to see what to have for dinner, finds the frozen left overs of a takeaway curry from a couple of weeks back.

Winner, winner, chicken chilli masala dinner.

Edit turns out it was the kid's Quorn curry they made for her on request that she didn't eat as was too spicy.
Weren't half bad. :banana-dance:

Signed off by surgeon yesterday and physiotherapist said it was last session as well. Treatment has been brilliant from referral to surgery to physio, so I wrote to the CEO of the Hospital Trust to say thankyou and mentioned the various people by name. My email got an autoresponder saying he was on A/L to 5th July. 15 minutes later I get a brief reply from him saying thankyou and that he will pass on the gratitude to the staff along with his thanks as well - he said it was nice to hear that the staff were doing so well in the circumstances. Nice to be nice to such hard working people.

There's a fat lass on the table next to us and she's put her bright orange make up on with a trowel. Fine. No probs.

But from the side it looks silly coz it suddenly stops an inch from hairline and ears and nowhere near her neck.

She can't see it but all on her table must be cringing

sometimes we need a dislike button. Maybe the others on her table are not quite as shallow or judgemental.

Often for girls with body or facial issues, make up is also a mask they hide behind and it gives them the confidence they lack.

Yes, I understand that, but it was so badly done, it was a bit silly.

You should be round my house when my daughter and her mates are here doing their make up. Looks like an invasion of oompa loompas! :D

On a serious note, my daughter was bullied and suffered from anxiety because of it. Even had meds for it, but her (excessive to me) make up is how she can face the world. Her last school years and the end of her teens were very troubled times for her and us. So I've learnt to live with whatever gets her though her day, she could even wear a Scotland footie outfit! Actually no that would be a step too far... :D

I had a gf who (I didn't realise at the time) must have had confidence issues, took her effing hours to do make up and hair, even to go to the shops, and if it went wrong she'd have to start again ...

Lady I worked with for many years used to wear thick, plastered make up. She took her own life last year, aged 50.

I do wonder if the make up was her mask.

The cosmetics industry has spent decades and $billions telling women they're ugly (and our product can fix it for you). Is it any wonder some women, and especially young girls, take them seriously? :(

I often argue with a (feminist) woman at work about this. She always winging about what men have subjected women to. She doesn't like it when I tell her its nothing to do with us, its the fashion industry you [women] so faithfully follow.

You would probably get on with me as I also identify as Astigmatic (boss eyed for the less technically edumacted amongst us).
