Been out this morning from 6am to 8am, thanks to the puncture I've got a new Pirelli GT2 rear tyre, I think I preferred the GT1 that was on it before, the GT2 feels like it has less grip and is more prone to following road imperfections, hopefully it will get better with a bit of use.
Gave the bike a clean and adjusted the chain afterwards, the chain is amazingly good for 18000 miles, the rear sprocket is good, but the front is starting to show signs of wear.

Fixed my comfort and rear grip issues, I've softened the rear suspension slightly, -1 click on both compression damping adjusters.

I've now done over 10,000 miles on it, I still really like it, booked it in for it's next service and a new front tyre.
Asked how much I'd get for it if I traded it in, £4250 is the answer, £2K less than I paid for it 20 months ago, so I came and washed it. I thought the hugger looked a bit grey, so I made it black again with some shoe polish.

Silicon spray might be better than shoe polish. If it's unpainted black plastic that is going grey a heat gun should get it back to black for a bit, pulls oils in the plastic back up to the surface, works great on Transit bumpers.

My pal once showed me how good WD40 is on plastics and black frames

Yeah WD makes everything nice and shiny... Until all the dust and dirt sticks to it.

After nearly two years and 11,000 miles the GSX-S is being traded in for a CB1000R, the Suzuki is still enjoyable to ride, but it's time for something different. I am a bit sad about trading it in, it's been a really good two years with it, hopefully the Honda will be better.

Maybe this coming week, but the week after is more likely, it just needs a new front tyre and a safety check and I can collect it.

There's a thread with pics on, I haven't ridden it, if I don't like it when I get it I can hand it back, it takes me a little while to gel with new bikes so, for me, test rides are a bit pointless.

Popped in Orwell's today, my old 750 has been sold, they said it pretty much sold as soon as they put it on the showroom floor.
