I imagine it's better in the sense you can buy a perfectly straight and uniform 3m * 1000m roll of it or whatever!
I've never quite "got" leather as a luxury seat covering anyway. It's slippery, too hot
and too cold. Seems i'm not alone, more and more companies offer 'luxury cloth' now as options. Nice bit of wool

Spent 2 days troubleshooting Row Level Security on a new PBI report I created for the sales reps.
Turns out the RLS testing function only works for user impersonation if the user has logged on to PBI at least once previously, which only one rep has and that's why when I tested it only worked for his account.
It's a great undocumented program feature from M$. That I only discovered by creating test accounts, good job I had some spare licenses.
It all sounds very minor, but no amount of googling came up with it.

AFAIK you have to be up at R-R and Bentley level to get
real leather these days, or pay the $$$$ for the optional extra stuff.
Last M-B I purchased (2017), it was spec'd with Artico - had to pay extra for the real stuff but it was noticeably nicer and wore better.

What's worse than people saying 'Merc' is people who say 'Jaaaag' in the style of JC.

"Roller"
Which is ironic, 'cause IME everyone who works there calls it "Royces".

Getting home after a night shift to find we have no water due to a burst main up the road.
Waking up and walking into the hallway to find (by standing in it) that the old dog has pissed on the floor. Then as I woke up a bit more realising that the water was back on and oh joy a pipe joint has popped in the loft when the water came back on, the dog hasn't pissed on the floor its the water coming through the ceiling and the electrics are also off.
I've spent 3 1/2hrs hours ripping sodden fibre glass insulation out of the loft, drying things off as best as possible, sorting out the electrics and making the house a mess, so I've probably got another few hours of tidying up.
Tomorrow will be replacing the defective joint in the loft and and working out if I need to start ripping ceilings down (think I caught it just in time).

I was pleasantly surprised by how waterproof modern plasterboard is. Had a similar event and the water only came through where the boards join. Got a bit of discolouration on the ceiling at the join but when that dried out gave it a brush and a couple of coats of emulsion and it was sorted.

Once upon a time the plasterboard would have been on the floor.
(Still had to mop up in the loft and wet loft insulation is totally meh to deal with. The electrics were fine once they'd dried out).

Yup. I took the opportunity to strip it all out and replace it. Hired a skip and spent many days up there sweating like a pig in the equivalent of an NBC suit, goggles, mask the lot, stuffing it all into double bags. The new stuff is much, much better to handle.

Rolls was but a salesman, Royce was the engineer.

Kwikfit pricing, they wouldn't quote a set of front brakes until it had been in for a compulsory free inspection even though I told them what was needed. After inspection they quoted £525, I complained and said a main dealer only charges £450 (was 3 years ago though) and they immediately dropped the price to match.
Seem like a right bunch of cowboys making up prices on the spot after you've invested an hour or so waiting for their 'inspection'.

Kwik fit seem to price on what they think you'll pay, utter scumbags. AVOID!

Add Marmite for extra deliciousness.
I know you can get Marmite peanut butter before anyone says it, and it's nice, but it's not AS nice.

My peanut butter addiction
I love it but I can only buy it once a month, and even then the smallest jar I can find, because I'll be stuck in a cycle of making toast smothered in the stuff every two hours until the jar is gone.
Slapped on thick slices of apple is my go to snack.
Has to be Whole Earth crunchy, mind.

I don't buy it anymore but that's my 100% favourite! But it's about 7.5€ in the only place I've found it here

I know I like it but that's just madness, so I don't buy it
I have thought I might buy some dry roaster peanuts and see if I can 'make' something similar

I am astounded that seemingly normal people eat peanut butter. The taste of it makes me retch.

I often ponder who actually buys smooth peanut butter?
The fact 'crunchy' peanut butter exists makes smooth completely redundant, imho.
Same with normal and jammie wagon wheels..

The only thing smooth peanut butter is good for, is baiting rat traps. A guaranteed kill every time.
