This story should have gone into the political news thread. I thought the idea of Stonehenge being built by people who looked like Somalians or Nigerians was so risible as to be almost beyond a joke. I was wrong. The Ministry of Truth are probably revising all our history books right now.
On the basis that we have all changed over the millennia, would it also be plausible that the modern black person or person of colour are very different from their ancestors, just as it would appear, we are? Who can say for certain what early homo sapiens looked like, their colour and so on. We're all part of the great big melting pot.

Blimey. That's profound.
Who can say for certain what early homo sapiens looked like, their colour and so on.
And that's another really good point: can the 'meaning' (output, result, whatever) from the same DNA be different now?
And even reconstruction of faces over skulls relies on current knowledge of musculature, etc.
We're all part of the great big melting pot.
We know a song about that, don't we, children?

I have wondered on those TV progs where they construct eg a Cro-magnon chap's head or some king or other what the actual accuracy was like*. Just had a rummage and thought the Wiki was interesting. Doesn't say anything about DNA and skin colour but, for anyone interested.

There's an artist who's done impressions of what modern animals might look like if they were rendered like Dinosaurs.

They can tell who were long bow archers in the 1400's etc because the bone density in their arms is different from regular folk.
