At the end of the day, 2 wheelers are all fun. Yesterday I saw a cfmoto x sport 700 for the first time. Looked like it would be great fun. Imo looks great, looks well put together with decent brakes.
The sport is the cafe racer, heritage is more streety. Our choice is widening.
There's a CFMoto biggish bike parked at work quite often, it looks alright, I work beside the sea and the salt gets in everything, but this CFMoto still looks good, I'm not convinced my Suzuki would survive a winter of being parked by the sea.
While you're talking about bikes from the PRC, I occasionally think about getting a small capacity trailie for mucking about on the local lanes, I've just searched ebay for CRF300's and this came up.
It's just over half the price new of a CRF300 Rally, it looks pretty good imho, shame they only do a Rally version, a vanilla trailie version should be even cheaper.

Been out again this morning, roads were quiet and dry, so I was riding like a twat, albeit a sub 100 mph twat. The bike really is great for this sort of thing, tons of power, but you can't be lazy with gears like you can on a 1000, it handles well, brakes are superb and it's a lot of fun.
And heated gloves are one of the best motorcycling purchases I've ever made
Happiness is a spring morning, lovely weather, quiet dry roads and a Suzuki 750, 2 hours of riding before the roads filled up with shoppers and grockles this morning, bacon sandwich and coffee at Walkers Snack Bar at Mildenhall, then chilled ride home via Diss and Debenham.

Four and a half hours out on it today, I think practically every motorcyclist in East Anglia was out today, most of them seemed to be stopped at cafes.

I've had a (very nice) weekend away in Whitstable this weekend and the harbour area seems to be a bike meeting area as loads of bikes parked or in/out.
Been out for another 4 hours this morning, I was rather cold by the time I got home, the seat could be improved, 3 days of riding it quite a lot has made my nether regions quite sensitive.
Yesterday I was out on it for 10 hours, I really enjoyed the A47 from Peterborough to Leicester, realised Wellingborough isn't quite where I thought it was, got stuck in a traffic problem on the M11, had a bottle of Vimto and generally had a good day.
Went to the bike this morning and it has a puncture in the back tyre, that tyre had squared off, so new tyre time, unfortunately I can't get one fitted until Monday, so no motorcycling for me this weekend.
Definitely, the only thing it could do with is a comfy seat, I've come to the conclusion that what I like is an easy to ride, fairly bland bike that also does 140mph.
Sounds like a good ride, puncture aside, but at least it's the tyre that probably needed replacing anyway.
I've considered one of these 'cool covers' seat covers, my mate really likes his, not expensive to try either but doesn't look like they do the 750. Mate said it's cooler (temp) and comfier.

Do you do that enough to be on the want list? I find the odd foray into that territory is bloody hard work on a naked,so I rarely do it,though there those days with a tail wind which makes it easier. If my bike only did 100mph,I might not miss the bigger numbers terribly.
This is the first bike I've never had flat out,even after nearly 3 years of ownership.
I've never had it flat out, I think the fastest I've been on it is an indicated 135, which is at best a real 125, the speedo is about 10% fast, what I do really like is the acceleration that 100+ bhp gives, which is what I was obscurely getting at.

Me too, not sure how fast I've been on the 1000 but most of the time I shut off at the 100 mark for licence/wind blast reasons. Think I've done at least 120 on it but don't really recall
