Cut my lawns. Apart from the leafless trees it looks like a summers day out there! I'm off to physio shortly and will have the roof down when I'm driving there!
Not exactly a surprise, but the physiotherapist told me there isn't much they can do for me other than the strengthening exercises they've given me. He said my knee is clearly very degenerated and its probably time to consider surgical intervention if the pain management and physio isn't providing enough relief. Looks like I'll be losing another bit of my skeleton soon!

Gave my daughter a new mattress. She recently got her first place and bought mattresses for c£30 off of very.co.uk!

I've got better, more supportive cushions on my settee than those crappy things. Hopefully, she'll get a good nights sleep and no back ache now!

Oh and we took her post up to her, one of which was a parking fine. Guess who copped for that!

Done a wedding. Agreed a visit to the house in Manchester that wife and I are buying, so heading up north on Tuesday. I've had my various shots, so that should be okay. Will take extra food, clothing and translation machine.

I'm more worried about how much closer to Hadrian's wall I am and I'm Scottish!!

Spent a bloody hour fixing the rear brake on the Husky so needed to take it for a test ride. Always put all the gear on when going off road.
Was having so much fun I stayed out 2 hours
My hand and arms are getting stronger and was riding about 75% of normal pace. Can still only hold on with 2 fingers on left hand, but that will improve.
Gonna take the GSXR out but gotta wait. Hiring leccy bikes tmrw then enduro ride with Mrs Y Tuesday so will have to wait till Wednesday.
Busy busy busy

Back in the soggy North after a week in that there London town.
Front end of the Triumph is now back together and the crap wiring on the front indicators has been fixed and just needs some heat shrink to finish it off.
Hacked off some of the rear mudguard to tidy up the back end a bit. Will update the ugly triumph thread when it's dry enough to pull the bike out to take pics.

Well damn, the last few days have felt as they did when I worked for myself!!!! 10 hours on Thursday, not quite a day off on Friday, 17 hours on saturday (3 hours sat waiting between jobs, but still counts as 'working' cos couldn't go home!!) and 12 hours today
I'm barely awake but missed all the rugby, so trying to stay awake long enough to watch the Ireland v France match. I recorded it but so far it's disappointing
Yesterday was mental. I was supposed to do three 'shuttle' transfers in the morning and two in the afternoon. I got to the first one and no one had told the office that as well as 8 people and 8 luggage, there were 4 large ski bags

Our vans can basically take 8 people, 8 luggage and 2 ski bags. If the extras had been short skis or short board bags, it would have been ok. But not 4 long ski bags
So, I got to Val d'Isere at 5.40am and left after 7am having stood around playing tetris with luggage, trying to get two ski bags in another van to drop at the drop off point, waiting for the holiday company to sort their shit out and make a decision on the transfer/luggage and on and on!!! In the end, I took the luggage and two people got on a coach going to the same place.
BUT, that meant that I left so late (about and hour and a half) that, instead of bimbling down the mountain in minimal traffic and having time to bimble back up to the next resort, I got stuck in one of the busiest saturdays of the month traffic which meant someone else had to go to the second resort to get people and I had to meet them halfway and swap the passengers and take them on to the meet point. Then do the third shuttle transfer from a resort 'sort of' closer to the meet point
I couldn't eat of drink most of the day because I had a bad stomach and wasn't getting any time for the sort of breaks necessary if I did eat or drink

So, after 7.5 hours, I finally got the 3 hours break, I could have a bit of food and drink, but not much. Finally home so late I couldn't cope with food!! Did have some meds to sort the stomach and went to sleep!
Today was a challenge of concentration against tiredness!! LOL
But I now have three days off. I'd rather not drive for three days but need to go to the valley so will probably ask if I can take the bus so I can get it all topped up ready for Thursday, then I can forget about it for 3 days!! LOL
I think my lower back, butt and legs are becoming #03 VW T6 minibus driver seat shaped - I don't think it's flattering

When driving to long and you start to feel tired and start yawning i always found eating a fresh orange would give you that extra couple of hours you need and if not available fresh orange juice. Coffee just never did it for me when driving 12 hours shifts was the norm.

I usually have an apple. No idea why that works!!! It's rare I need to now as don't normally do stupid hours. Just bad luck that stupid shifts on one of the busy weekends coincided with a bad stomach!!! LOL
I'll be find by Thursday afternoon when I get going again (but might add a carton of OJ to my back up stash of supplies!!

)

Funny an apple would be the last thing i would have thought that worked. A lot easier to eat while driving also

I know it may be harder for you as its work but now i dont need to drive for a living i just refuse to do mile munching anymore. 300 or 4 at a push it max even if on a bike. I have a few days next year where it would be an advantage like i know i can do Ijmuiden to Italy in a day but its a days holiday ruined and the next day will be no better as ill still be tired. Much prefer catering an extra day and limit 300 miles now. My camperbus is all bloody large glass and on hot days 300 miles can be hell in there. Must look into air con one day

I can't remember who told me aobut apples. A truck driver I think, many many many years ago!! Something in it helps - I suspect it's more about actually eating!! LOL
I only do mile munching out of work to get between here and Calais!! And certainly not in something as hot as your camperbus!!! But for work, it's ok. I rarely do such long hours now TBF, so can't whinge toooo much! Although of course I do a bit on here, cos I can!! LOL

They've just finished a cycle way all the way from here to Puerto del Carmen on the sea front. So we hired 2 leccy bikes and did the whole thing.
Saw bits of the coast that's not normally accessible.
Lovely lunch and couple of beers.
The bikes were awesome. Hardly used the leccy on the way there. But as soon as we set off home, the wind picked up. When it howls here, you know about it. The turbine blades were going mental.
Was lovely to just turn the motor up full and cruise home
Missus had so much fun, she wants to buy her own

My wife loves hers. If she didn't have a leccy bike, she wouldn't have a bike. It's been a brilliant purchase with plenty of use.

Drove 540 miles today. Glad it was in the car as the weather was appalling, with torrential downpours for a good part of the drive to Manchester and back from London. Saw house wife and I are buying and it is in excellent condition and just what we hoped for. Completion date soon!

I have a 'nice' specialized bicycle but I haven't really got the enthusiasm to use it. I suspect that if I did ever get an electric version, I'd do a lot more cycling on and around the mountain!! It might be quite good fun! But not any of that scary downhill stuff!!! LOL
