When I did a speed awareness course, a couple of people were moaning about being caught because of the ridiculous 20mph limit in London. The woman hosting the course told them to get used to it as its planned to be rolled out countrywide over the next few of years. I doubted it at the time, but it looks like she may well have been right?

And there's plenty of evidence that 20 reduces crashes and casualties. Any delays will be lack of political will.

So did the man with a red flag walking in front.

Some 20 mph limits are justified, many are not. The good news is that speed enforcement is so lax that, with common sense and a bit of observation, you can mostly ignore limits, or at least use them just for guidance.

You try doing 20mph in London at silly o'clock at night in certain areas and see how safe it is when the blacked out Merc/BMW/Audi whiffing of ganja is riding your @rse. After my last trip to Spa Road Junction south of London Bridge I vowed never to drive for work in London again (black boxed vans).

EU wide and millions/billions getting spent on cycle lanes that go nowhere or no one uses. Great if they built them like Holland with dedicated cycle roads linking towns but i cant see it ever working like that in the UK.

Just heard that a new documentary on Jeff Buckley will be in the flicks soon. Gotta go and see it! ! May get a bit of grit in the eyes.

Not everyones cup of tea; Grace is a beautiful album.

I love Nick Drakes music too. Both artistes highly underrated and taken to soon.

Damn hard to play their stuff using my very amateur guitar skills. Odd tunings, chords and time signatures.

Our mayor got called out on why the fuck we have over 150 miles of cycle lanes here in town when we only have about 6 cyclists. He admitted they were "traffic calming measures" intended to delay traffic & cause congestion to slow drivers down.
I managed to get a screen shot of that before he deleted his FB post.

Got a good nights sleep for first time in years, woke up at 8.22am instead of the usual 4am.

Walked into the kitchen & was greeted with "oh, you're not dead" :eh:

Boring fact of the day, in Spain it's carro. That can be a shopping trolley or a cart pulled by a horse. South Americans use carro for a car, in Spain a car is coche.

I told you it was boring.

Getting home late from my trip to Dublin and being greeted by FidgetTheCat, who I may need to rename to Velcro as she's followed me around constantly. Bless her. 🥰🐈

Cars that just keep passing their MOT!

My lads 2011 Focus that he's had for years and has now hit 130,000 miles - other than a service once a year it doesn't even get looked at, not even a wash. Just flown through its MOT again - bargain motoring at it's best

That I've started impulse swearing in German. As discovered when stepping onto a wobbly plank that didn't quite span 3 joists.
