Christmas Eve morning gym class, mobbed with all the usual suspects, hard as you like, silly outfits and a coffee afterwards when I really should have been logged on and working.

I have just been age challenged buying alcohol in Sainsbury's
The more I laughed with the middle aged Sainsbury's authenticator the more annoyed he got and the more I realised he wasn't joking. I had to show him ID and he told me that "I was in good nick". I wonder if I have just been on Candid Camera

But e get anoda part of di legacy wey pipo no too sabi about di Roman Empire - na di Christmas celebration.
Na one of Christianity main celebrations wey dem dey mark wit trees wey get lights, Santa Claus, fine scenes, and family gatherings, but e dey difficult to see any trace of Roman culture.

The fact that NORAD have a tracking solution for Santa alludes that they also have a firing solution...

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
This is absolutely 100% insignificant but weirdly made me smile a LOT and still is actually!!
Really bad traffic day (first time I've had to stick to the main road/autoroute on a busy day
)
Anyway - after a LONG time to get not far (the journey from Lyon airport to Moutiers Station took 5.5 hours
should have been less than 2!!), I couldn't remember if the next junction meant that the inside and middle lane both went right or only the inside, so I figured I needed to hedge my bets and move to the inside lane - not gonna be easy, although yes, I have been known to bully my way in front of cars quite simply
As usual in traffic, I'd passed a lorry that then repassed me a couple of times and so now I thought I should change lanes, I leant over as I got level with him (his cab is higher up than mine!!) and looked over, waved to catch his eye and then pointed that I'd like to go in front of him and put my hands together and then blew a kiss (not still sending a prayer!) and of course my bestest smile !!! He grinned ( a lovely smile by the way!) and gestured that I could pull in and so I blew another kiss, and he laughed and then signalled that payment was due
I laughed and then blew a kiss and pulled in front of the lorry
* : **
I flashed my hazards to say thank you and he flashed his head lights!
Absolutely insignificant, but I was laughing and grinning for hours! Just writing this is making me smile
. Just hope it had a similar effect on the other driver cos DAMN it was a shitty day on the roads!!
* this was all at roughly walking pace, the traffic was that bad!!
** sometimes it really helps to be a girl with a big grin
I have done similar before in the sprinter - guys are suckers for weird hair colour and a big smile (they can't see anything else cos of the jacket I wear!!)

The chef and I are in the supermarket uesterday stocking up the chalet ready for guest arrivals.
Chef - Can you go get 3 or 4 large bags of crisps..... Try and get ones that *we* don't like.
Me- There aren't any we don't like, thats the problem
Random lady stood near to us bursts out laughing.

Christmas! I wasn't looking forward to this one, and the actual day was a bit meh, but yesterday we had around 14 people here and 6 dogs. It was the noisy chaos that Christmas should be!

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
My Christmas !!
I spent Christmas eve with some friends in the chalet they run. It's pretty damn posh. It cost over €24 Million to build about 10 years ago !!
Lovely meal great company.
I woke the next day with no hangover
I had a lie in, I went snowboarding for a few hours and then came home, had a nice long bath and then played Xbox until about 3am.
I only spoke to 2 people the whole day, one french lady whom I thanked for holding a door open for me and one French guy who asked me for the english word for Helicopter. It was bliss.

Sending a correction email to El Reg and them changing the picture illustrating the article. They also emailed me to tell me they'd done it.

Ordered a lip spoiler for my car at the beginning of October. It never arrived and they refunded me in mid November. It randomly turned up today!
