Insurance companies again!

Sold the Tmax so needed to cancel the original policy. I've had my NCD mirrored for the Hypers policy whilst i'm waiting for the Tmax to sell, so would ideally like my NCD applied to the new policy, rather than gain a (pointless) second NCD for one year. Speak to Bennetts, who says yes they can cancel the Tmax policy, but can't switch my NCD. So I'll have to wait until renewal time next year and then start my next policy with my 9+ year NCD and my newly acquired 1 year NCD will go to waste after 2 years when it expires unless I buy a second bike. Still with me?

I now CBA and say whatever then, lets get it done. Because my Hyper policy has a mirrored NCD it was to be reffered to a specialist who say as the policy is only a few days old, they'll have to cancel it as well as the Tmax policy and issue a new policy completely. I've already been charged £50 to cancel the Tmax policy and am not happy about paying another £50 to cancel this policy. No problem as they'll waive the second £50. Great.

So I I say yes to everything else and get a £480 refund overall with a new policy for the hyper with my original NCD on. I get my documents through and they've charged me a £20 arrangement fee! I phone them back and they can't/won't refund the arrangement fee. If I cancel and go elsewhere I will pay the £50 cancellation fee! :facepalm:

If they didn't tell you over the phone about the £20 fee - then surely that's a miss-sell?

If they didn't tell you over the phone about the £20 fee - then surely that's a miss-sell?

I have no doubt it's in the finest of print in the T&Cs! At least they asked me if i was okay with auto renew, the cheeky fookers!

Today he goes to see an oncologist to see what can be done!
