Spent the day filling in online forms as to where I've been, who I've seen etc.
Still no symptoms!

Well that's knocked the bollocks out of my taking the wife to the Harvester in my car and sharing a bottle of Jacobs Creek. Not even the free salad bar can pull it back!Potter wrote: Wed Dec 08, 2021 9:43 pm Normal sort of day for me, flew a Spitfire over Beachy Head before lunch, then spent the afternoon Christmas shopping in Harrods, and finished with a family dinner at The Ivy.
Back at The Ritz now pleasantly tipsy on gin cocktails.
I’m just wondering whether to chance my arm and suggest to Mrs Potter that we finish the day in style with a high end Russian brass.
That depends if there was any pickled beetroot or not.Taipan wrote: Wed Dec 08, 2021 9:47 pmWell that's knocked the bollocks out of my taking the wife to the Harvester in my car and sharing a bottle of Jacobs Creek. It was epic.
The guy ran through some quick tests to make sure I knew what I was doing and then handed control to me and told me to have fun.
It was like an ultra responsive bike, all I had to do was look where I wanted to go and think about turning and it went there with a genuinely barely perceptible movement of the stick.
Climbing was the same, but dropping altitude needed a bit of a push and it was quite clonky. Once you were in the dive it was fine but going from a climb or level flight involved a clonk.
Transitioning from level flight to an upwards hard turn was the best feeling in the world. I did it exactly like a bike, turned my head and reached a bit and it just went.

For the first 10 minutes. Then I remember it's cold and wet.
TBF, I had maybe two days of 'normal for this time of year' cold/scratchy throat symptoms. Then nothing. Similar with a friend. I only tested positive for two days (LF tests) - he tested positive on LF tests for a couple more days and then tested positive on PCR for a week - think he's stopped doing those nowDemannu wrote: Thu Dec 09, 2021 5:09 pm STILL no symptoms!
Tempted to go and have another test, just in case someone made a balls up.
Haven't been ill since May btw,.so not likely to be an immuno response!
You lasted 10 minutes! I'm impressed. Even a premonition of it fills me full of dread!gremlin wrote: Thu Dec 09, 2021 5:00 pm I love snow.

Generally yes. I don't wear a 'waterproof' jacket because I so rarely need one (I actually don't have one!!). Today of course I've been out and about way more than normal on a snowy day (I'm a FWSkier!) and my softshell jacket was not enough!! For the first 10 minutes. Then I remember it's cold and wet. When you're skiing etc. you just brush it off like a powder, it's only wet if you get it inside your outer layers. It has to warm up before it's wet.
Pining for the slopes now![]()
