The false economy of cheap shit tickets...

Costco carry two kinds: Their own Kirkland brand & the soft/strong Charmin. There is a $2 difference on a 36pk

For some reason roomie prefers the Kirkland rolls, I prefer the Charmin.
It takes 7-8 sheets of Kirkland to do the work of 3 sheets of Charmin (dad was RN gunnery chief: Three sheets! One up, one down, one polish!") Anything less than 7 sheets of the cheap stuff risks unexpected buttfinger.
I'm assuming she's a crumpler as opposed to a folder. No idea why she dislikes the good stuff. Life is too short for cheap shit tickets.

I think I'll just buy my own.

Not being able to go to the gym, what with my dodgy Cilla and all that. Starting to get a bit grouchy. Only been able to walk as any form of exercise and I'm feeling lardy and lethargic.

I looked up the council tax on my old place in Herts, it's now £2881. My house in Spain is €316, my old man in Ireland pays €250. It's called ripoff Britain for a reason.

Fitting doors in a local office area.
The doors are 2330 high. FFS, thats gonna make the officewallas near em look like fookin midgets and by the time we've carried the big numb bastards into where they're to be fitted we'll be an inch shorter as well.
No need and so far these are only the half hour rated ones, can't wait for the thicker hour rated ones.

I don't know about Spain but the extra Irish income tax dwarfs the council tax difference.

We get a combined tax bill for our villa, car and all the bikes and some other stuff.
Comes to about 800€.

We were paying £300 a month in UK for council tax.

£2400pa.

We do get free recycling bags though.

Just this morning they've been out weeding the block paving on my road too.

Comparing between countries is always gonna be flawed cause central taxes, income taxes etc. are all different.

Aaahh, maybe that why ours is higher then - we also get 4 garden waste bags, a glass box and a can box. God help us if we go over our limit though, they slap a wordy sticker on the stuff and leave it :D

Nah you're still getting screwed...we've got garden waste wheely bin, compost bin + bags, recycling sacks and glass collection. All picked up every week, no limit on how much stuff you can leave out.

They're even fixing all the potholes!

Gawd bless MK council.

I have to pay extra for garden waste now. :(
I only have about 1 bin full a year so it wasn't worth it.
