But in this context ^^^, in olden tymes in a work place, there was often a bank of name-labelled, open fronted wooden boxes where your mail, messages, birthday cards etc would be put. Ideal for anonymous notes etc…. “Pigeonholes”. It’s harder to leave an anonymous email. Progress? Huh.

Anonymous emails are pretty simple as long as you remember there is a record somewhere, just make sure your email doesn't tick any of the police priority boxes.

Internal post envelopes can be useful.

My senior school had pigeonholes for the teachers outside the staff room, for you to leave them messages drop off homework, etc... that was 31 years ago tho'

Send him a box of nice toiletries and washing liquid (the clothing variety) or something from Amazon. Compete with a gift note saying 'Get yourself washed you old sod, I love ya, but you're starting to whiff a bit'.

I have a friend who is universally known as 'Stinky Lee', who fits HVAC. Another mate was working with him during a hot summer some years ago and noted he wore the same fleece (in summer!) for three days running, no t-shirt or anything underneath. By day four my mate tells Lee, 'If pick me up tomorrow and you're wearing that fucking top again, I ain't getting into the van!'

He wasn't offended, but genuinely shocked that he was stinking so bad.

It goes without saying, Stinky Lee is single.

Where I used to work one of the sales guys had a BO problem. One of the girls decided he needed to be told and we did the draw the short straw thing and guess who lost! They said to just take him aside and say its been noticed and you thought you'd tell him about it discreetly.

So he arrives at work and sits at his desk and the office girls are looking at me and nodding towards him iyswim? So I'm trying to muster up the courage and just as I stood up the Boss walks in and says, "Morning all"! Then looks over at the smelly sales guy and says, "Fucking hell is that you stinking Graham.
