Sitting here feeling as rough as can be. Since I stopped drinking I can't handle it when I do. I feel poisoned. On the plus side were going to a party this afternoon!

Garden party is postponed until 6-7 as it was pissing down. Still waiting for it to stop raining so we can walk round there. Feel sorry for my mate as he has just had a garden bar built but it looks like we'll all be inside! Worse summer ever!

Had our friends over today. First guests we've had in the house! We used to be neighbours and their twins are happy little 4 year old girls at the "constant questions/chatting stage of life". Such fun to have them over and we were able to catch up and just enjoy a lazy afternoon of good food and conversations. Ended up having the lovely coffee (Monsoon Malabar) which they had seen in a place near Norwich of all places a couple of weeks ago.

Just finished a lovely roast lamb my colleague cooked at work today, have spent the morning watching the rain rinse my bike off after I cleaned it.

The weather in UK really has been shit lately. Barely going above 20 up in Bradistan and Leeds. And mostly wet.
I remember nice summers there.

August hasn't been great,but it's been dry and sunny for quite a while now. A much better Summer than many years,even if the rest of it is shit.

Slow cooking? There's no charcoal! Nice evening for it though.

Sitting at home drinking a nice cuppa and watching Mont Blanc go pink as the sun goes down. Bloody glad that the sun is finally out. The last week or so has been shocking - more like a UK autumn than a French mountain summer!! Woohoo for the forecast staying the same now as it says it'll be sunny for the next ten days!! I know it lies, but I am crossing my fingers!
