Ravey Davey is starting to settle down a bit, tonight he's decided to go sit directly under Eddie who for the first time hasn't made mad noises when he got within 5 meters.

We've just adopted another greyhound. She (Rosie) made friends with Joy and together they stole our bed, yay.

This is one of my favourite places, just on the edge of a bit of woodland where it borders the field and with a decent view, not far off the Roman wall.
Plus theres a rock to sit on that the dog always jumps on, yay.

And here he's taking in the view, I didn't notice at the time but when hes out and about with one or sometimes both ears up he's usually thinking about being on the hunt.

Facebook reminded me that today is the 7th anniversary of Wilko le Chat becoming part of our family.

This is him doing his 'Evil Overlord' impression on that day:

If you were doing that in our kitchen, you'd be fighting a cat for control of the legolam...

Dog frequently does this, stops a bit infront of me, stands like he landed to earth in a superhero movie (legs perfectly positioned, head proud blah blah blah) and stands alert while he looks and listens for deer/squirrels whatever.
I've lost count of the times when I've stopped, grabbed my phone to take a photo only for him to turn and run towards me looking all goofy or take off like a shot after a squirrel.
Finally I get a near perfect profile shot and its only taken three and a half years.
Cropped a bit from a wider pic.

Pup (although almost a year old now!) had his first taste of snow last night.

Literally

Nose it into a heap, then chomp!

Too effing cold and dark to be out snapping pics, so have a studio shot from this morning.

Working from home but my attention seeking French Bulldog is convinced that if I’m at home I should be paying her attention. After pushing her away multiple times she’s decided to check out my laptop and see what all the fuss is about! :wtf:

Garth, a few days ago... The lighter colored mountains in the distance (above the bonnet) are one of the larger local gold mines. They're slowly removing the entire mountain. It's already half the height it used to be.
From the truck to the mountain is 25 miles. It's in Mojave.
During mining operations they are discovering old tunnels from the 1800's & finding all sorts of old mining equipment etc. It's all being collected to go in a museum.
Structures on the horizon to the far right of the pic is Edwards AFB, the lighter looking stripe is the dry lake bed.

I dunno if you can really count a truck as a pet?
