Our beloved Elvis was a gonna 2 weeks ago.

But each Friday the vet gives him 3 injections

Still feeding him with a syringes but we're getting him down 500 mg of baby food and day.

He has 4 short walks a day. And he does his usual walks around garden.

I need to find a 'local' fabric producer that doesn't charge an arm and a leg!! I'm pretty keen on the upcycle thing with clothes and have a few bags of stuff waiting to be created into something else when I have sewing space (very soon )

But fabric here is stupidly expensive and actually clothes (even 'cheap' ones aren't that cheap), so I've started trying to buy better for longevity !! Helps that I have never followed any kind of fashion

Yup. Making your own is no longer the cheap way to get anything, you just have to do it if you want something that fits perfectly or is 'not on the High Street'. Recycling/upcycling is good and charity shops can be (Not sure that French High Rue are full of those like they are here?).

The other thing is we have outfits like Whaleys in Bradford here that are pretty much wholesalers but do sell to the general public in smaller amounts and they often have offers on roll ends etc (but they do tend to be plain-ish or things for dyeing). You may find something like that over there.

Altberg shoes. I've had their boots for 20 odd years but I was passing Richmond and picked up a pair of Jorvic Veldt shoes for general use where I couldn't be arsed to put boots on. They are SO comfy and the service is great.
Insignificant maybe but as I get older, comfortable footwear gets more important.

I learnt to sew as a kid cos my Grannie sewed (I learnt to knit cos my Grandma knitted !! ) - but I continued cos the fashion was 'Twiggy' when I was choosing to buy my own clothes, so fashion did NOT fit me !! No one could ever have described me as a Twiggy shape, even as a young teenager !!

One of the really exciting things of having space for the first time in 15 years is going to be, being able to make clothes that fit me again !! And often I do buy something that almost fits, so I take a pattern off it and tweak it to be more right Can't wait to have the machines set up and fabric etc to hand !!!
